Conservatives want to help people.

They want to turn welfare into workfare.

A fine idea. But some of them accuse people of "refusing to work" when no work was available. That's not workfare, that's squeezing blood from a stone.

the left loses elections because their natural constituency [working people] are not motivated to get out and vote, and/or they dislike one thing about the nominee and just sit on their hands. GOPers NEVER do that, and ALWAYS VOTE.

there are few things in this hellworld more discouraging, more depressing, more dampening of spiritual lightness, than the social darwinist/randian meme of "all for me and the devil [IOW pofolk] take the hindmost!"

It is the poor and uneducated people that often vote right wing and fall for the line that voting Trump will magically make them as a rich as Trump. Trump's voters are mainly idiots that can easily be manipulated and influenced by right wing propaganda. The smart progressive, environmentalists are the thinks of this world and often possess higher levels of education and they do not fall for the right wing media's cheap slogans and false promises that voting for a billionaire will make you become rich.

I find it disturbing when people think that a political affiliation or value system make a person “good” or “bad”.

Maybe people like the politician’s platform??

^ And, since you declined to answer my question, I went and banned your other account as you're only allowed to have one on WP. If you make anymore sock-puppets, you'll be banned entirely.

Maybe as a mod, you assume the worst of people.

However, I never "sock puppetry".

I self-banned my original account since on PPR many users snoop into your old posts.

I didn't see your message because I can't login.

XFG is probably the most fair-minded of the mods.  You would do well to stay on her good side.

Having two or more accounts on the same website is sock-puppetry, whether you use only one account or not. Some members install several 'sleeper' accounts, so that if one account gets banned, another account can be used to log in.

Clue #1: You cannot ban yourself. Clue #2: Those old posts can still be read.  Clue #3: Now that you've mentioned not wanting your old posts read, I'm going to read as many of them as I can find.

And yet, here you are. Logged in. Try another excuse.

I'm not retired yet. I'm retiring in 3 years.

I don't have a 401k. I have a conventional pension.
