"it isn't." That answer lacks the elaboration required to prove that it actually isn't. <.<

Given that there is no evidence that it is, the burden of proof isn't on me.

I'd be happy to debunk any purported evidence that it was, but there hasn't been any yet.

Technically, it isn't. Judaism was (and is) the religion of the Jewish People. It was all about their identity, and possibly even superiority. Christianity, as an offshoot of that, does have a bit more inclusiveness, though having 'non-Jews' in the very early Christian church was a serious issue, until Paul came along and started 'spreading the word'

Like with any big enough book, if you have enough passages, you can 'prove' anything.

No, in deit(ies). That's all. Do you also expect aleprechaunism to say something about murder?

It isn't. Want proof? Just off the top of my head: Good Samaritan.

(I'm not a Christian, for the record, I'm an atheist.)

but wasn't there actually a passage where Jesus is asked why he wouldn't go to other peoples (apart from Jews) to preach them too and he says something like "that would be like taking the bread from your children and giving it to the dogs"?

The lady that he was talking to said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table", and Jesus was impressed by her faith and granted her request.

There's another story like it, also in Matthew, a few chapters back. A Roman centurion asks for healing for his servant, and Jesus is so impressed with the way he asked that he said, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."

In both cases, the standard is 'do you have faith?', not 'do you have the right genes?'.

Christianity, like Islam, is a universal religion, meaning that it's for everyone all over the world, everyone is equal under it.

Others are tribal religions... Judaism in practice has become that... to many who run that religion, you are born as superior or inferior... this is what makes Jewish fanaticism more disturbing than Islamic fanaticism... it's more predisposed to genocidal conduct, branding whole people as "Amaleks" to be exterminated, and so forth.
That is as massive a generalisation as the premise of this thread. "Judaism in practise" is not genocidal. You don't see Jews blowing themselves up on the London underground, or flying planes into buildings!

The Orthodox Jews who I know don't think of themselves as superior to anyone else. They think that God holds them to a higher standard than everyone else, and that they are chosen to live as a light to their neighbours.

I'm not sure I believe that is true anymore, but I certainly don't think that "Jewish fanaticism is more disturbing than Muslim fanaticism."

Check out any racist forum. There's always Christian mumbo-jumbo mentioned on them.

While that might or might not be true, it was your claim that racism is encouraged within Christianity. You have, as of yet, not supported that.

No thank you. I am not interested in the opinions of racists and do not want to hear what they have to say.

Also, mentioning something that sounds kind of Christian doesn't make you a Christian or show that Christianity supports your views.

I am a racist.

As an Anglo/Saxon Arian European I am cheering for "our team"

This does not mean that I think I am "better" than Chinese or Japanese people.

I really admire certain parts of their culture.

But I feel that I have to support the home team.

Wombat, then if i read the first line of wiki's article on racism :

"Racism is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race."

I doubt that kinda fits you, no? Since you claimed that you do not think you are "better" :P .

OK, I DO think I am better. Who invented science and the printing press and modern medicine and democracy and the automobile and space travel and radio and tv and the internet?

Gee, let's see. What did the Eskimos or the Zulus or the New Guinea natives invent?

Errr... Nothing?
