Opinion on eugenics

I think it's all a little pointless, putting aside that eugenics is a thoroughly discredited pseudosicence (hence why it isn't taught). To my lay mind I don't see how humanity is subject to any particularly significant level of evolution barring the odd exceptional case (I've read of groups of prositutes in Africa who are immune to HIV, I think anyway, I might have it spectacularly wrong there) - it seems to be nature which is struggling to adapt to us.

I think eugenics is wrong.

Eugenics /= genocide. Gene therapy alone is technically a form of eugenics on the micro level. It's much more selective in the treatment of genes but it's certainly a means of eliminated unwanted genes from society.
