"Crystal Children" Aspies?
If I look in a certain way I can see the glow, but I'm sure there's a scientific explanation. I've read one but I can't remember what it is. I can see an aura around an object too but I couldn't begin to guess what that indicated of the object's spiritual state.
Just look at something the same way you would a "magic eye" picture.
Weirdly though , years ago I saw Ram Dass talk (it was actually work related)and there was a blue duplicate shape of his upper body hanging over his head. Not anything I had to look a certain way to see. Perhaps it was done by stagecraft.
Explain, please.
I can feel a dense energy feild around everyone. It's uncomfortable and why I don't like to get very close to people or sit next to anyone because their "aura" hurts me. I thought everyone could feel them until very recently.
It's why I avoid crowds.
Explain, please.

What objective evidence do you have that you are senses auras. Why not body heat? Maybe your are reacting to pheromones given off by other people. You have no evidence that some non-physical mysterious energy is being emanated.
Everything thing in the world is physical. That is all that there is.

And what makes you believe auras aren't physical? Why couldn't they be a form of undiscovered "psychic residue"? I just don't see how scientific evidence discounts these things. In some weird cases it can support them.

The question makes no sense unless you first say what an aura is. So, what is it? What in the human anatomy emits it? What kind of energy? Is it energy in the electromagnetic spectrum? If not, what in the body could possibly emit it. Energy comes from something somewhere. What is the cause of an aura. Has an aura very been rigorously observed by a machine?
Before you ask for the explanation of a phenomenon, you must first establish that the phenomenon exists.

I didn't ask for an explanation of an aura. I could care less what it is. The question was what makes you believe it can't exist? I personally don't believe much in auras, but I don't firmly believe that they don't exist.
Have you ever heard of a willow-the-wisp? It's a little ball of light that floats through forests, and some poor souls follows it through the woods. Later someone finds a burnt corpse. People believed in them for a long time, but eventually some scientists said, if it's not physical it isn't real. A hundred years later ball lightning was discovered.
I don't think all paranormal stuff is BS to fill the empty headed masses with entertainment, even if it largely is, because some stuff has explanations beyond our current understanding, but will be explained later. In short, I didn't think it was fair for you to say that there is no such thing as auras without some form reasoning other than it's not accepted in the modern view of the universe, because it sounds too "new age." So if you have some form of justification, I am willing to listen, but otherwise, anybodies guess is as good as ours.
EDIT: You can recreate ball lighting with a microwave, sulfur, and a glass jar! It's really cool.

I did not say auras can't exist. I said I don't believe they exist, because there is no solid experimental evidence to support the belief. I do not deny auras. I simply do not believe they exist. I can't very well deny something I don't believe exists.

Ketutar, first I wanted to commend you on your lighthearted spirit in the face of so much cynicism I used to believe that auras and indigo children were, as others have said, new age crap. I am not a 'new age' type person. But I am also not a closed-minded person, and one of the things that parenting a child with autism has taught me, is that there is SO MUCH about human beings that I do not understand. The fact that I do not understand it, does not mean it doesn't exist.
There are a lot of new age authors capitalizing on the concept of Indigo Children, and unfortunately I think it's mucking up the beauty of the pure concept in it's original form. Stripping away the consumerism (book selling) that has adhered itself to the concept like a layer of salty barnacles, you are left with something really quite beautiful and not at all ridiculous.
When my son was a baby, he literally did mesmerize strangers. He was a magical baby in terms of the effect he had on people wherever we went. I had more than one person tell me that he seemed to glow. I really didn't think much of it at the time, but over the years, I had a number of people ask me, after meeting him, whether I had every heard of 'Indigo Children'. Because anyone who knew about them, became convinced he was one of them. So I looked it up, and in terms of the pure concept, I think there may be something to it. I would say, I'm not willing to write it off just yet
It is a New Age term to describe the new humans that are being born on this planet now. They have got the name because their aura is of crystal color - crystal clear, but can also carry opalescent tones of gold, indigo-blue and magenta.
opalescent would describe every colour, this is beginning to sound like a Barnum statement.
- they are wanted children, and their mothers and other family can have unusual experiences during the pregnancy. Sometimes they communicate with their mothers already as fetus.
- they are often big babies with disproportionally big head.
- they are calm and "good" babies, and bond intensely with their mothers, even to the extend of clinging.
- they are seldom first or only child in the family
Classic barnum statement, these apply to all babies.
If you love your child you don't leave it with untrustworthy people, so another Barnum statement.
- they are even-tempered, peaceful, calm, serene and patient
- they are quiet and self-effasive
- they are kind, caring, loving, understanding, gentle and compassionate
- they relate to adults better unless there are children of the same vibration around, but they don't respect authority. They see all the people as equals.
- they usually avoid crowded places and parties
- they are connected and communicative
- they can throw powerful tantrums and be extremely manipulative, especially if they are limited
- an unbalanced Crystal can become volatile, aggressive, even violent
- they are curious and like to explore
- they are filled with wonder. They have a million questions and various innovative ways of doing things
- they love nature, plants, animals and minerals. They are very comfortable with these things. They show special interest to rocks, crystals and stones and like to play with these. They NEED the daily communication with nature, Mother Earth, Gaia.
- they spontaneously hug and care for people in need, nurture younger children and animals, and try to help and heal both humans and animals that are in distress. They have a remarkable way of connecting with other living beings.
- they have high IQ - average is around 130
- they love learning about science and are interested in various topics. They will learn as much as they can on a specific topic and then talk about it.
- they have high physical intelligence, an amazing sense of balance and like to climb
- they have a vivid imagination
- they are highly creative, original and innovative
- they are artistic and musical
- they seem to have an inherent knowledge of art, language and spirituality, possessing an impressive wealth of wisdom
- they are right brain oriented
This pop psychology bs means creative, which we've already covered.
- they are very good at living in the moment and "flow"
- they are good at "co-creation" and "manifesting"
- they have a unique world and vision.
- they are very sensitive to the environment, can be oversensitive, even allergic
- they are sensitive to vaccines, chemicals & pesticides
- they sense the energy fields, ley lines, electrical currents and magnetic radiation, solar and lunar waves, cosmic waves, and energies from the galactic centre. (solar flares, full moon, astrological influences...), dense energies, environmental stimulations
- there might be electric disturbance around them. Watches usually stop and so on.
- they are empathethic, and they mirror their environment, pick up its energy and moods. This is also why they are receptive to energy healing and can be helped by feng shui and other such methods of dealing with the energy flow and electromagnetic frequencies
- they are super sensitive to emotional and mental stress
- they can have panic attacks or anxiety attacks, and obsessive anxiety over the survival of the human species because of their sensitivity to group consciousness
- they can have periods of deep depression
- they are peace loving and can react physically on negative emotions in others, violence, and pain of others, so they are natural peacemakers
- they just plain do not understand "Man's inhumanity to Man," war, greed, etc. and thus can easily feel totally overwhelmed by it all.
- they have a fear of intimacy because they so easily feel invaded, not respected. They would rather be alone than have their "personal body space" disregarded. They may also avoid romantic relationships for fear of hurting another if the relationship ends.
- they have very good senses, better than the most. In some cases they have extrasenses, meaning that they have clairvoyance, clairaudience etc.
- they love colors. Rainbow is their favorite color. They like to wear a lot of different colors at the same time.
- they are picky eaters. Many choose vegetarian diet and they like fruits and juice. They like water and fresh, clean food.
- they have very sensitive digestive systems
- they have a high metabolism and they are capable of regeneration of bone and tissue
- food intolerance or sensitivities, allergies, skin conditions, rashes, flu, and colds often. They easily sunburn.
- they might have higher resistance to poisons, drugs, chemicals and pollutants, but an increased sensitivity to sugar, caffeine, nicotine and other "mild" drugs, and food additives- The Crystal body holds no toxins, but allows everything to pass through it, which can make them resistant to medicine as well.
- some are immune to certain diseases like HIV- they prefer being naked, but if they have to wear clothes, it must be soft and natural materials that feel good
- they are very affectionate, love kisses, hugs and cuddling
- they like water, baths, showers, waterfalls, fountains, playing in water and sand.
- because they are sensitive, things like noise, discomfort and such is really difficult to stand, can be even painful
- because of this sensitivity, they need a lot of care
- they require a good deal of sleep. Without enough sleep they will often become imbalanced and fall ill much more quickly.
- they have vivid dreams and nightmares
- they can have difficulties in sleeping, as they are so sensitive to all kinds of influences
- Crystal children have a universal consciousness rather than an individual sense of self
- they have an instinctual understanding of the spiritual laws, and of how it all works, clear connection to their higher self, they access naturally their highest guidance and feel instinctively the spiritual Oneness.
- they are attracted to meditation and it is very beneficial to them
- they have healing abilities
- they have psychic abilities, like telekinesis
- they have an interest in spirits, spiritual matters and the supernatural. Many have past-life memories.
- they are able to see, visit and sense other worlds, dimensions and levels of existence and interact with the lifeforms living there, like ghosts, devas, spirits, fairies, angels, spirit guides and/or ETs.
- they communicate through telepathy, which is why the start talking late in childhood, around the age of 3-4. They may sing or hum before they speak. the Crystals use a combination of telepathy, self-fashioned sign language, and sounds (including song) to get their point across.
- they are able to channel
- they have an understanding of what simple energy and materia is, are capable of manipulating energy and therefore perform "magic"

I actually recognize me in much of this, and what I recognize myself in happens to be what I recognize myself in the descriptions on Asperger's... I wonder if "Crystal Child" is the "New Age" name to Aspies?
Like "Indigo Child" fits the people with ADHD or ADD...
there's a big chunk I missed but it's more of the same, given more time I could place the points in couplets and triplets that contradict one another directly merely by rearranging the order. This whole thing is a Barnum statement, according to it all recently born children are crystal children.
I've just done a search to see whether anyone has brought up the topic of Crystal Children before making my own thread.
I was on another forum and the conversation turned to autism and people started talking about crystal and indigo children and it annoyed me like crazy.
Seems to me this is wishful thinking on behalf of parents of special needs kids wanting to make them somehow really special, distinct. It's like not accepting your child needs help.
However, I condone enjoying the good qualities your autie kids have. I am very intelligent and artistic and peaceful and have big eyes, like kiddies in this list, but list of traits is definately a barnum statement.
Explain, please.

ruveyn, why are you being so aggressive? Has she hurt you in some way? There's nothing wrong with asking questions, I admit, but the overall tone of your post is a bit rude.

I call pseudoscience. The statements to describe Crystal Children are so vague, they'd accurately describe both me and my sister and we couldn't be more different as far as siblings go. This whole Crystal/Indigo Children seems to be nothing more than a hype, allowing parents of perfectly ordinary but unruly children to let their offspring roam free because they are "special". Sometimes, parents need to face up to the fact that their idealised dream baby isn't quite as special or talented as they wanted him or her to be. Labelling your plain-as-porridge child as a Crystal Child or an Indigo Child is a classic example of relieving cognitive dissonance and not to be encouraged IMO,.
... for which there is no valid material evidence - none of these things can be demonstrated.
Exactly. So how about setting up stringent testing protocols that will reliably and repeatedly demonstrate that "New Age BS" is actually valid?
No. Which is more advanced: the person who, when confronted with a stressful situation, will curl up into a ball and rock for hours on end, or the person who confronts the stressful situation and overcomes it?
WRONG! If it were so, then children would be able to care for themselves, delay gratification, plan for the future, and discern when they are being taken advantage of.
... when a 5-year old can demonstrate adult-like mentation, or at least act responsibly, then maybe they can be treated in an adult-like manner ... maybe ...
No person is born to be anything. There is no fixed "destiny" or "fate" other than an eventual death.
Pure speculation. No one can foretell the future - one can speculate, and events may coincidentally or intentionally work out that way - but there is no way to determine what will happen with absolute certainty.
The only thing you've said that makes sense so far.
Do you believe that Jesus actually existed as He was depicted in the Bible?

My son was a a little like that as a baby, a variation anyway. He was someone who everyone was drawn to, so amazingly alive they would say. He was destined for greatness, according to the average stranger. Not in the normal way for babies; it wasn't the same with my daughter.
The word I was given for my son when he was four was that he was a "magic" child, but I've never really understood what they meant, other than that it was a good thing. That came from a group of trained psychologists.
Personally, I find labels on infants to be a negative. People raised our expectations and made it more difficult to see his achievements as triumphs, instead of just as what he was expected to do, and it made finding the AS more difficult. How could anything be "wrong" with such a wonderful child?
