Bah! So long as we have enough guns, guerrilla warfare is all we need.

NOTE: My score used to be "-3 on moral order, 3 on moral rules", but clicking the hints (& therefore seeing the implications) tilted me more leftward.

It can I guess, though I've lost my faith in it. If enough people make themselves active to keep it free, but the key is that it takes the people working upwards (grassroots) as opposed to the head honcho working downward (hierarchy) But unless the people stay active, and i don't mean just for a few months every 4 years... this cannot (or at least will not) happen.

Anyways, i thought i'd take that moral test.
YOUR SCORE

Your scored -6 on Moral Order and 0.5 on Moral Rules.

The following categories best match your score (multiple responses are possible):

1. System: Socialism
2. Ideology: Activism
3. Party: Green Party
4. Presidents: John F Kennedy
5. 04' Election: Ralph Nader
6. 08' Election: Dennis Kucinich

1. 2% are close to you.
2. 57% are more conservative.
3. 0% are more liberal.
4. 2% are more socialist.
5. 31% are more authoritarian.

I don't quite get the authoritarian thing being so high mind you, only 31% moreso than I... i'm at the far left, and it's right of me?
But, otherwise from looking at the graph and the labels, I guess i agree with the analysis.

This is a thread I've been been dying to find. First, I believe there are as many idealisms as there are ideas. Factionalism is unavoidable, but it can be beneficial so long as it breeds lively debate and in so doing brings people and disparate beliefs together to eventually work towards common goals. What I'm getting at is that democracy is strongest when a broad range of ideas are being freely and intelligently discussed.

Surely the interests of individuals and society as a whole should be given equal weight. To paraphrase Albert Einstein; 'man is simultaneously a solitary and a social being. His existence and all of human civilization is owed to social cooperation.'

Libertarians cannot, nor should they, divorce the individual wholly from society nor can any shade of authoritarian strip the individual of his importance and effectively build a long lasting workable system.

From this basic understanding I have constructed my personal political views. At the very roots, I am a balance of anarchist and socialist, necessarily, but open to the belief that any progressive move is a good move, so I closely relate to the mainstream democratic-socialist efforts of small scale, short term change with the long term view that a significant shift away from capitalism, nationalism, organized religion, etc are necessary to advance humanity further in it's unobtainable, but crucial climb towards a"perfect" society.

Well I don't know if I'm so much a leftist but after taking a test, these were the results.

Exclavius, you should realize that political processes aren't going away. Even if the perfect society is costructed through some other means,(revolution?) political working will remain involved In the outcome. You can either work to change the elements of it you don't like or just apatheticpally let it drag you along with it, perhaps to places you don't want it to go.

This "moral politics" test is one of the easiest personal quizzes I've ever done - the obvious choice for me was always the fourth one. I scored -7 on Moral Order and 8 on Moral Rules.

I'm unable to fit perfectly into any quadrant. So here are my standings:

Fiscal ultra-conservative; NO welfare, MUCH reduced taxes on all business in order to cause more money to be made, and more workers needed

Ultra-conservative with regard to law and order, and tort reform. END ALL malpractice lawsuits, or at least cap them as was done in Texas. Then nobody will whine that we need "Obamacare" if we can all just go pay $25 to see the doctor like we used to before $250,000/year malpractice insurance premiums began to suffocate good doctors, and run their office visits up to $200 or more. Repeal all gun control laws, and do as Switzerland does, and require gun education of all citizens.

Ultra-conservative with regard to defense and military. Maintain the strongest armed forces, the most weapons, and we'll never have to use any of them.

Now for social issues:

Liberal on civil rights, gay equality, minority equality, and women's rights. All my Right friends hate that part, but I tell it like it is, and that's my view.

President Bush: YES! A man of his word, who did what he knew was right for the country, regardless of popularity. Too bad Obama and Pelosi are undoing it all.

President Clinton: Phooey.

President Reagan: My hero, my idol

President Farter (I mean Carter): Economic disaster of all time; the demise of the CA defense industry, and the beginning of the terrorist era due to disemboweled military and lack of of USA defense.

President Obama: Our nation's Doomsday creator.

Offshore drilling: YES AND FAST!! !! !! (use some profits to reimburse Louisiana, of course).

Meagan's Law: Ridiculous. 95 year-old nursing home patients who when they were 18, had sex with a 17 1/2-year-old girl treated the same on the books as a rapist of a kindergartner? Whoever wrote that law was drunk.

No Child Left Behind policy: Dumbest thing to come about since the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin. Graduate illiterate students and send them to college on the taxpayers' bill. Great!
