Yeah but no one is talking about Bush jr.

Referring to the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan as "genocide" is complete hyperbole. And Bush's wars, disastrous as they were, don't even hold a candle to the devastation Hitler brought, and that was the comparison being made.

Abu Graib (sp?), the torture camps, rendition to third party countries for torture on our behalf but not directly for us, massive civilian casualties, the massive amount of birth defects in areas where they heavily used DU. It doesn't hold a candle because it's not so obvious and so it's a slower process.

I fully agree that what has happened in Iraq is deplorable, and those responsible need to be held accountable for what they did. But it is not genocide, and it is nothing even approaching what happened in WWII. Let's have some historical perspective here.

When something is too good to be true, usually it is.

Not saying that he is, just saying it's a possibility.

Only if you believe enough in a bunch of ancient prophetical gibberish to think that there even will be an "Antichrist".

More people believe Bush is still in office than is safe, also.

i thought the antichrist was supposed to be somebody for whom it would be said that "nobody could make war with him-" the implication being that he would be so reasonable and spot-on, that nobody would be driven to contention with him. for this reason, i don't believe obama qualifies as anything but a reasonable [to a fault] center-left politician.

Correct, he's just the current moron in office.

Obama is way too incompetent to be the antichrist figure. Most scholars also agree that Emperor Nero, an early Roman emperor whom persecuted early Christians, was supposed to be the model for the Antichrist. Simply, the superstitious Christians of the age believed that Nero, after committing suicide, was not dead and would return at a later time in history. The creation of a North American union based on political agreements has never been considered or even thought of by any major politicians in office right now, so it is merely conspiracy.

Never forget the most important part: the winners are the ones who write the history. They're also the ones who can bloat numbers and create modern legend.
