To a certain segmant of conservatives (mainly fundamentalist Christians) reality is elitist. That said, hardcore libertarians / Randroids come across as the most elitist of all. They easily outdo the granola-crunching west coast liberals in terms of shear snobbery.

Yeah, that's another thing: liberals learn what words mean: conservatives just parrot whatever misapplication of a word that the conservative talking heads come up with. Elitism has nothing to do with just knowing more than someone else. Elitism is a class thing. Like how republicans only serve the top 1% and increase the cost to the bottom.

Liberals are said to be more likely to be culturally refined hence "elitist" yet the real elite, the real leaders, they're more right wing and they're just vulgar. They're the kind who hire dwarves for bachelor parties! That's why conservatives are fun, we are told! Because they're vulgar.
