Has it ever occurred to any of you that Heaven and Hell are utter nonsense?

Well one cannot rule them out, as I'm sure that God (being as powerful as He is) would go out of His way to make sure that we were unable to just go snooping on His home.

I very much doubt that if someone kept trying to spy on you in your own home you would do everything in your power to make sure that they were unable to do so.

God makes himself known TO you, not the other way round.

Needless to say Heaven and Hell are not quite the same as all the man made depictions have made them appear to be, I very much doubt that Hell is a huge cave under the Earth, or that Heaven is a place up in the sky.

And anyway, if there really is nothing on the 'other side' then it would not matter as one wouldn't know any different so if one aussmes that you are going to pardice then at least you'll die happy.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens then won't we.

Sine God is utter nonsense as well you have no worries. You won't see what happens as dead people see nothing.

This is shifting the burden of proof. It is not the responsibility of anyone to disprove heaven or hell, it is the responsibility of those who believe in it to prove their claim.

Or, assuming I accept this brand of reasoning, If you also claim their are fifty foot high purple unicorns dancing the hokey pokey on the sixth planet orbiting Betelgeuse, I also have no method to "rule out" that claim, either. So should I accept that claim as well? Or at any rate admit its possibility?
