I want sweeping change. I don't want things to be done the old way.

There are more choices than those two, you know.

However, people like Ross Perot are not very popular, and they are not my favorite people. So, I do not vote for them.

I don't think he has ran for any elected office in a decade, but I could be wrong. I tend to vote Libertarian. In general, I cannot stand to make the compromises required to support a Democrat or Republican. I tend to disagree with Democrats on fiscal matters more and Republicans over social issues.

Oh, I forgot about Ralph Nader!

My opinion of him is the same as my opinion of Ross Perot.

I don't think I'd ever vote for him, either. Apparently you only remember the Presidential candidates that the media has allowed you to believe were legitimate contenders. Ever wonder what interest they have in telling you which candidates to consider?

Exactly!

No, I don't know what they want us to think.

Most media that people rely on for their news are ran by large corporations that usually have ownership in other industries. In other words, they likely have a significant interest in who wins the elections. They are also not going to promote candidates that they are not able to buy favor with (ie, campaign contributions). It isn't very hard to see how they have the motivation and ability to control the candidates that are considered "legitimate." Even PBS wouldn't want to promote a candidate that would work to dissolve the Corporation for Public Broadcasting when elected. These entities have some self-preservation in mind when they look at a campaign for office. Most people aren't willing to go and educate themselves about their choices. They prefer to sit back and let it be fed to them, which is good for the big political parties and big corporations and not so great for everyone else.

Same here I just wish more people paid atteention and looked for alturnitives to the Dems. and Rep. I belive if they realy thought about it and got away from the one liner slogans more people would vote Libertarian. Theis next election I might compromise just to get rid of what ever the current adm. puts forth as their successor

Yes, that's what I thought, but isn't it obvious?

I'm not sure what any of it has to do with Clinton, but I'd trade the "imminent threat of WMDs in Iraq" lie for some perjury about sexual relations with an intern right now, if I could. I thought what Clinton did was pretty bad at the time, but Bush has convinced me that it wasn't really that bad after all.

That may be. But I am a born and bred conservative and Bush is a disgrace to the right. The right is right, after all.
