I get insomia.. so am sometimes forced to watch really trashy amercian morning shows. Last one I watched was basically:

"There is absolutley no evidence or intelligence that Hezbollah [?] terrorists have any interest whatsoever in attacking the US.. BUT THEY PROBABLY WILL.. now.. I'm not suggesting that my fellow americans be overly concerned about them or scared.. BUT YOU BETTER START BUILDING BUNKERS AND SAYIN YOUR PRAYERS.."

That was the gist of it.. it was so orchastrated and fuelled. Propaganda.. don't know if the US knew it was going to happen but they're certainly using it to get people back in line.

Hezbollah poses as much threat to Americans as the WMDs that Saddam had when we invaded Iraq.

Israel DOES'NT have a problem with the Lebanese government, which is moderately pro-western. It's in Israel's best interest to pach up relatins with the Lebanese Gov. once this fighting is over.

I hope that all civilians in Lebanon and Israel remain unhurt.

If it were up to me, nothing short of the resurrections of every civilian killed and complete replacement of every non-Hezbollah structure and item would make it right. Israel would be considered an enemy nation until such time as all of that happened. Since they can't bring those people back to life, they would have to deal with being reminded of it everyday. Each day I'd send them faxes at every official government number, that could be found, reminding them of the innocents they slaughtered. When they block our phone numbers, I'd have press conferences and releases where every name was listed. Do it everyday, while putting their names and faces on TV as well. Let nobody in Lebanon or Israel ever forget about it.

Those who make peace are always a target for assassination. While those who make war are opposed by peaceful people who might speak up, but probably wouldn't kill them.

Since what you're saying here is impossible, yuo're saying you will never forgive Israel. How can you have a peace process without forgiveness??

I'm saying I'm not interested in a 'peace process' with a nation like that. It sounds like Israel would like to be able to kill anybody they feel like and drop an apology on the way out. I'm not sure how that is going to bring anybody's children, parents, or siblings back from the dead. If any member of my family was killed, and they had no affiliation with Hezbollah, I would never forgive Israel for it and I certainly would not expect anyone else to do so.

I'm not part of the problem. My view goes both ways. If Hezbollah killed a member of my family, I wouldn't forgive them either. What would that do? Drive me to join the IDF?

They don't need me to do that. Israel is doing their part right now to create new enemies by themselves.

I understand your feelings here ... but if you did that, almost every nation would be an enemy nation. There are very few that haven't caused deaths at some time or other. That doesn't make it right, of course.
