My reaction to emp was because he was either trolling, or was of the mistaken belief that you can light a room by cursing at the darkness. I did'nt want to post that thread, because I actually kind of like emp, but he would'nt stop with his threads untill absouletly everyone got on his case about it. I was the last one defending him. After I posted that thread, emp did afterall quit. emp had annoyed everyone. I try to only annoy those who I think deserve it!

Yes it would be funny to se what the leftists say if another republican gets elected (might happen if John McCain runs!). I think Verasae would consider that proof that all republican victories are rigged.

Yeah, emp was annoying to me too on the religion issue. It is alright to post your beliefs but to start all of those threads on it is a bit annoying. I understand your reason for doing it too, I just tend to take an attitude similar to that of an annoying ad. Have you seen that Simpsons halloween episode with the living advertisements? The "just don't look" jingle. Well, so long as you try to not get too fierce with people. I might just be biased on this issue because I like poems, songs, and cartoons on the subject of politics... so long as they aren't too common and am happy to poke fun at both parties.

I like McCain, he is a patriot, he seems sensible, and I think he has more spine than many other politicians. I won't be surprised if he doesn't win the Republican nomination though, the republicans seem to like appeasing the religious right too much and frankly their concerns are not something I really care much for. I am also curious about Mitt Romney, I know that he has a history of fixing budgetary problems, but I don't think that he will get the nomination either because he is a Mormon. I do think that many will cry out that a Republican victory was rigged though no matter what happens, and that would be amusing at the very least.

Bush Senior is the one to be afraid of. He's the brains of this whole thing which started in his administration.

Greed and money. Oil and power... sickening.

I dunno, I have more respect for Bush Senior. At least Bush Senior knows that you have to stop a deficit and he did so at the cost of his political career. Not to say that he still wouldn't lose, Ross Perot was running on the idea that our deficit was too high, however, it is a killer to openly go back on your major campaign speech.

Yeah, politics is just greed and power.

No, I haven't read the book, you also never stated what the book was either, just that we would see Kerry's "true colors". However, I know that politically biased information is something that one must be aware of before making decisions. The point of politics shouldn't be "This is my party and I am sticking to it no matter what" but rather "Out of all of my options this candidate is the best for furthering my interests". Really, I am just trying to make sure that you are not as crazy as some of the leftists here, ok? Some of them reference their sources and claim that Bush is trying to form a dictatorship. I'm just being a bit suspicious, that's all.

I think Perot should have won in '92. It would have been the best thing to happen to this silly country.

I dunno, I don't like his attitude towards free-trade. It probably would have changed our political system somewhat, especially considering that he probably would have benefitted from the tech boom and as such he would have received all of the favor that comes from presiding over the good years.

I have to agree, Perot would've been very corrupt in that he would steer policy to benifit him personally. Free trade mostly benifits the plutocrats.

I thought the poem was entertaining. I only just now got a chance to read it.
