That is awful.
*He wasn't his own father, they are 2 SEPARATE BIENGS. (see luke 3:21Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.)
*Where is everything going to go? Matter can be neither created nor destroyed, therefore people have to live forever
*It doesn't have to be telepathically, you can say your prayers out loud, he and heavenly father are listening
*The evil force part is right
*Do you have ribs? I hope you do. So did Eve. She was symbolically made from it.
*Who knows if animals can talk? You know what, if you are able to accept that we might share the same ancestor as a monkey (and that we evolved from them) it isn't that crazy that we might have been able to talk to animals at the beginning of humankind
Oh, and the snake is probably symbolic too...
*Not a magical tree, again, it's symbolic. The tree represented temptations, yet it symbolized knowledge. It is a good thing that she ate from the tree, because now we are able to acquire knowledge, at the same time, we got the negative half which included temptations and evil.

It does make sense.
A loving father had many souls that he cared over.
Two of his foremost sons said that they each had a plan for these souls.
The father chose the son with the plan the included agency (knowledge) and temptations....instead of the son who wanted to force the souls to be good.
The second son was mad, and got followers.
1/3 of the host of heaven immediately enacted their agency to choose a temptation, and they will never get a physical body.
The rest of us chose to stay.
The father then told the son to make an earth for the souls to stay at.
They used existing matter to make the earth, the animals, and the physical body for humans. (from dust we are made, and we will return to dust).
He sent down two choice souls into a paradise filled with only one temptation.
They gave in, and they were sent to the desert to work, reproduce, and live out their lives filled with many temptations.
Fast forward many 1000's of years, and many people have given into temptations.
However, our God is a merciful God who must meet the demands of justice.
So he sent down his most prized possession, his perfect son.
His son atoned for our sins, and when we repent we can go back to live with our father.
(when we fix the problem, and say we are sorry [much like a good earthly parent] he forgives us).
As we strive to not make mistakes as much, we become better people, and more fit to live in the presence of our perfect father and brother.
That is perfectly logical.
There may be things that we might not understand now, but that doesn't mean we should just shun it. We have to learn about it, because learning (knowledge) is the path to more freedom, more agency, more happiness.

Sister chrissyrun yes it is questionable of some people around here of there relationship with Heavenly Father & also there relationship with our elder brother (& theres) at the end of the day they have the agency to behave like that, agreeing with is a difference question. You might find that some people around here that have a lot in common with Korihor. We Saints need to be in the world but not of it.

* Many different sources and Christian groups disagree GREATLY about whether he was his own father, a different person or whatever. The statement in the pic is true for those who claim that god was a single personality.
* Matter is transformed though, and the law of entropy is pretty strong. You will need constant energy to maintain order and life = order. So, the matter of your body is probably going to stay forever, but that has no relation with your life and conscience.
* The bible forbids praying out loud.

I read your summation, and it does not make sense :)

@ Vecalibur
*Yea, I was just posting for the christians who don't believe in the trinity. Because assuming that every christian thinks that way is assuming, and assuming is wrong.
*Just like matter can neither be created nor destroyed, the same applies to energy, and the soul thing. Well, that is up to everyone else to decide for themselves.
*If you are going to critique, tell me what exactly doesn't make sense in my summation. I think it followed laws of reasoning pretty well, and if you disagree, you need to state what exactly about it you didn't understand.

@ cdfox7 (you don't have to use the brother and sister thing online, though it was kinda cool, it makes more sense if you are talking to the person in person)

Yea, I just like people to understand things. I think if I have the opportunity to plant even a little seed of knowledge in their brains, then it will help them be able to find more knowledge if they ever wanted to. But I know I can't force anyone, I just like giving my opinion sometimes.

I think that is true too, the Korihor thing, that is a good analogy. Though some of them might just be like the lamanites.

I understand, what does that mean to you though? To be in it and never speak up and help support a worthy endeavor? Or to not follow the facades of the worlds actions and temptations while still being a good influence?

To be a good influence & at the same time take the best of the good things in the world. Dynamite might help with softening some of the hard hearted around here  Just be a bit careful with the Gadianton Robbers (Sorry I meant Strident Atheists) in PPR

Ok, that made me laugh. Seriously, someone needs to create the soft dynamite (it doesn't actually hurt them, but softens their heart).
I will try to be careful, I've had my share of run-in's with residents of Sodom and Gomorra around here. Fortunately, there hasn't been too many attacks lately.

ryan93 -

The Chrysostom homily - since we ran across it years ago it has been an Easter standard, as it is apparently with the Orthodox. Now another family in the Inner Circle has taken it up.

I swore off for Lent - kept from logging in by the skin of my teeth.
