We'll ignore the religious context as that is a canard.

Should I be allowed to wear a mask in a bank, or out on the street?

These are to name but just a few.

What are you? Left-wing or Right-wing?

Im Right-wing and proud of it!

Overly simplistic. What do you plan to avenge? How can you not like Steed and Peel?

Define "like Gypsies"? I am glad there are Gypsies. Besides being ungleichgeschaltet - of which we need more - they intrigue the historical linguist. Don't know any personally. Like is too fuzzy a word, and I do not mean warm fuzzies. Do I like Yakuts?

In any case - I am of no wing. I levitate to hover above the mucky hoofmark-riddlesd pasture of politics.

true not only religion,
yes i think you should be able to wear a mask on the street,
i do it often in the winter because i loathe freezing my face.
however once you enter a bank you are on their property and they can make what rules they want, i have understanding of why a mask would be forbidden because of security.

I do not particularly mind the banks's no sunglasses, masks, hoods rule - though I know people - my father for one - who NEED dark glasses in normal ambient lighting, and some need some form of respirator.

What bothered me personally was the really stupid way our local bank announced the institution of the policy, almost as puerile as the Mr Zip of unhappy memory.

Damn straight, freedom to immigrate to a country is a basic facet of any civilized society.

Well, since I have some Hungarian Gypsy ancestry, it would be self-destructive to 1/5 of my genetic heritage to believe otherwise.

They believe in anthropogenic climatic change probably because it's tremendously well-documented.

"Politically correct" was a term invented by radical leftists who felt "imposed on" by LJB liberalism. I support a social welfare state with effective health and safety legislation.

TheAvenger wrote:

Rightwing Con Artists think the victims should "toughen up" or perish in a socially Darwinian struggle.

Well, unless they're pointing a gun at you or display an intention of offing you, then you shouldn't.

I'm a centre-left Fenno-scandivinavian style social democrat.

Dare I reformulate? In practice in at least the US, UK, and Canada [I speak only what I have directly observed] too many believe [whatever] because [whover] says it is tremendously well-documented.

no matter what erring on the side of caution when it comes to cimate change is preferred over risking rampant growth causing the end of the biosphere as we know it

becomes "they support the welfare state"

A nanny state is where the government attempts to take control of most choices presented to people, often in the form of anti-gun laws and other issues where people are unwilling to allow others to be responsible for their own choices and consequences, often punishing everyone for the actions of a few - like the Transit Security Authority harassing everyone in general just because people have taken weapons on planes and used them wrongly before.

A welfare state is where everyone who works pays for everyone who doesn't work.

Are gypsies a big issue in Europe or something? I remember hearing about France wanting to kick them out not too long ago. Just seems like a weird issue in the 21st century.

I'm a registered Republican, and I have voted for all Republican presidential candidates since Reagan's 2nd term. Yes, including George W. Bush twice, and no regrets. I'm a Right hardliner with fiscal issues and in the defense of our country, fighting wars hard as needed, etc. Business are taxed way too much, and that's why there aren't jobs. Not the other way around. And I think all types of welfare and free stuff should be stopped for everyone who is able-minded/able-bodied. This means that the lazy will be forced to work, or live in the woods. The mentally or physically impaired, of course, shall be entitled to help as needed; and more of it when we filter out the parasites who sit home watching plasma TVs and having babies to increase welfare checks, and go in their BMWs to the store and park illegally in the handicapped space, to cash the welfare checks.

The Left will say it's fair to tax "rich people" more... WHY??????????? WTF???????????? Did it ever occur to the Left, that "rich people", having their money to spend and invest, is WHY we have jobs? It is. If everyone were a wage earner on salary, then who in Sam Hill is going to be the entrepreneur who started whatever company those workers are with? I believe in a flat tax. How is it unfair if we all had the same tax rate? "rich people" will STILL pay many times higher taxes, even if the tax rate is the same for lower-middle income people and ultra-wealthy. If, let's say we had a 10% tax rate, and If I make $45,000/a year, I would owe about $4,500 in taxes. If an oil tycoon makes $45,000,000/year, he/she will owe $4,500,000 in taxes. To me, that's fair. But the Left wants the oil tycoons to have a tax rate of more than 50%.

I will say that I'm more to the left with societal issues such as the fact that I support Gay marriage, and I believe abortion is up to the woman in question; not the government. Smaller government is better... Butt out, and let us live our lives is my theory of how a government should be.

Charles

"The lazy will have to live in the woods". Sounds good! In Europe you pay a fortune to live there.

Oil tycoons only pay 10%? Just because they have the luck to sit on an oil bubble with their lazy ass or daddy gave it to them. I'd let them pay 80%!

This IS a political stance. You can't escape politics.
