Are you defining Jew to mean anyone who doesn't believe Jesus to be the son of God? That would include quite a lot of people, including Moslems and Atheists.

Why is God waiting for people to die before he sorts this out? You don't believe that God has already sorted this out?

God may have it all sorted out, but humans are of a flawed nature because unlike God we are not perfect beings.

Oh, assuming Senator Joe Lieberman isn't bullied by leftists, he will be joining Glenn Beck for the rally in Israel.

Joe Lieberman is a Leftist, isn't he? Are Liberals invited, now?

Can you point me to a set of facts that back up Milbank's statement?

I am annoyed when the Fundies root for Israel. I detest their motives. Jesus ain't coming until all the Jews are gathered in the Holy Land so they say. With friends like that, I don't need enemies.

Notice to Christians: Jesus is not coming back while I live. Why? I am not going to Israel.

As far as I'm concerned, Beck is going to Israel to rally his support among the millennialist crowd who think Christ will be returning to usher in the rapture, and his thousand year rule - with total irresponsible disregard for possibly adding more tension to the Middle Eastern powder cake.
Myself, as a Lutheran, I'm an amillennialist (as are most mainline Christians) - that is, I believe Christ's thousand year reign is not in the future, but that thousand years is an indeterminate period of time between his ascension and his return. Basically it's in the here and now, in the hearts and minds of all true believers. I don't need Jerusalem or Israel to complete my beliefs, as I believe Christ is wherever two or three of his believers are gathered.
And I can certainly understand your distrust and dislike for evangelicals, in that they believe after all Jews are gathered in Israel, two thirds of the Jews will die, leaving only the virgins. So, the only Israelis left would be Star Trek and D&D nerds.

Joe Lieberman was among the first people he invited.

Joe is not going

Quote:
When I spoke to Lieberman, he sounded less definite. “Am I going to go? I don’t know,” he said. “I’ve got a lot of other things going on.” I hope he finds something else to do on Aug. 24. As he approaches his Senate retirement, it would spare him a shameful end to a dignified career.

Lieberman, who knew Beck back when he was a morning DJ in New Haven, may have missed some of the broadcaster’s recent feats: hosting a guest on his show who describes as “accurate” the anti-Semitic tract The Protocols of the Elders of Zion; likening Reform rabbis to “radicalized Islam”; calling Holocaust survivor George Soros a “puppet master,” a bloodsucker and a Nazi collaborator; touting the work of a Nazi sympathizer who referred to Dwight Eisenhower as “Ike the k*e”; and claiming the Jews killed Jesus.

“Obviously,” Lieberman said after I presented some of this to him, “that’s troubling stuff.”

Aw, too bad. The Leftists at the Miami Herald have bullied him.

This Glenn Beck is a fascinating character. On the one hand, he spews mindless anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. On the other hand, he is planning to put on a big show in Jerusalem. He is nothing if not a showman.

Maybe he should ask George to go.

He's not going to ask a Nazi Collaborator to join his rally.

Oh and contrary to what the Miami Herald is saying, last I heard, Joe Lieberman is still going to Glenn Beck's rally. Right now all I've seen is dishonest attack after dishonest attack by people on the left.

Really, based on the evidence, it is more likely that much of the mainstream media is made up of anti-semites.

http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/06/20/gle ... lieberman/

So if Lieberman gives into the bullying, personally I hope Lieberman keeps his nerve and has the moral courage to stand up to the lieing sleezeballs on the left.

I still think Beck is taking Israel's side only because so many of his supporters believe that being Pro-Israel, they'll get something out of it from God. Namely, they'll get raptured into heaven, while the rest of us heathens will stew here on earth during the tribulation.
By the way, his supporters are the same crowd who believe that two thirds of Jews will die, leaving only the Jewish virgins (Star Trek and D&D nerds).

Are you formally charging George Soros with the crime of Nazi Collaboration?

The man has admitted to it, while you can argue it was protecting his family, my chief problem is he has said he doesn't feel guilty over it.

I would be happy and exhilarated, too, if I was facing danger, but avoided being killed. What's wrong with that? And c'mon, he was just a teenager at the time, so I hardly think he could be painted with the same brush as actual collaborator scum.

Okay, fine. We'll start a new trial, and you can be the prosecutor once again.

To not feel any guilt decades later, that's just scary.

@ pandabear

You would have to recuse yourself due to a conflict of interest.

Why? As I understand it, he never was personally involved in sending anyone to concentration camps. Otherwise, he might have been complicit in crimes against property, had he been an adult at the time. Maybe he just has enough sense to realize he only did what had to be done in order survive, which never resulted directly in anyone's death.
