The 9-9-9 tax code apparently came from Sim City

Unless he is Obama then just go at it.
Burn!

If Inuyasha was smarter, he would have left the thread after this comment to avoid further embarrassment.

Problem for you guys is that I have absolutely no reason to be embarrassed. My dislike of Obama has to do with his failed policies and the other choices he's cared to make that are currently damaging this country.

My distrust of Obama stemmed from actually doing my own research.

I have yet to hear one legitimate criticism out of you guys concerning Herman Cain.

Nope. It stems from your listening to Hate Radio and watching Fox News.

He plays Sim City and enjoys Japanese anime so much that he quotes song lyrics from Japanese anime movies without giving proper credit to the source.

 Whatever...

Just cause they say stuff you disagree with doesn't make what they say hateful.

Okay....

This is legitimate how exactly...

He grew up in Georgia[11] and graduated from Morehouse College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. Cain married Gloria Etchison, of Atlanta, soon after her graduation from Morris Brown College in 1968.[12]

Cain, accepted for graduate studies at Purdue, received a Masters in computer science there in 1971,[13] while he also worked full-time in ballistics for the U.S. Department of the Navy.[14]

So unless you're saying someone with a math degree can't do math, I really don't think this sim city criticism is legit.

With his vast knowledge of mathematics, how does he come to "9-9-9" as an optimal solution?

Purdue is just free falling in my estimation.

Most people would see it as mockery, but having a candidate acknowledge, albeit not directly, different aspects of culture is seen as a positive thing in my eyes.

It also makes for a good laugh.

He acknowledged the writer of the Pokemon song a great poet. I would say that is more or less equal to directly giving credit.

The Sim City thing stumps me though. Might be because I am too busy laughing over it to think clearly.

Herman Cain's master's degree was in computer science, also I really don't think this came from Sim City, unless there were some changes made to it from when I played that game.

You could affect taxes on specific industries, but not monkey with sales taxes.

In his younger days he was an applied mathematician. This made him (initially) attractive to me as a candidate, but I have subsequently learned he is a running dog and a lick spittle for the Federal Reserve Bank. Boo! Hiss!

Also, he has ties to the nefarious Koch Brothers.

From what I've seen of what comes out of Purdue, I think that you are absolutely right.

Anyway, Mr. Cain even goes so far as to admit that some people will pay more taxes under his plan.

He and his sponsors, the Koch Brothers, will certainly pay less..

I knew he once worked in the Federal Reserve, that does not mean he's tied into this fiasco we're seeing with the Federal Reserve. He left the Federal Reserve a long time ago, it isn't unreasonable to assume that the shannigans we're seeing now started after Herman Cain left the Federal Reserve.

It also doesn't mean that he is not tied to the "fiasco."

He was an officer of the Fed. That makes him one of the Bad Guys. He has not strongly advocated the elimination of the Fed. Shame on him. Ron Paul who will never be elected has at least pushed for the elimination of the Fed and fractional reserve banking.

Cain is as much a Statist as all the others (excepting Ron Paul).

One thing to point out, too: Mr. Cain certainly isn't the first presidential aspirant to advocate a national sales tax.

Jerry Brown also advocated a national sales tax. His campaign didn't get very far at all.

I suppose that this issue may make Mr. Cain a Liberal in "Conservative" clothing, or Mr. Brown a "Conservative" in Liberal clothing, or make the issue one that transcends partisanship.

Perhaps Fox News and Hate Radio commentators don't want to point this out, for fear of appearing "racist?"

I worked for Maixs, creators of SimCity!
