I think that's more in the category of a, "windfall."

I disagree with you there.

I think that this is entirely the radicalism of Islamic terrorists, they quite honestly believe in turning the entire world into and Islamic state.

They would have attacked us regardless for some reason or other regardless.

I can just as easily ask: Were the colateral damage deaths in Iraq by western national forces a result of 9/11?
Yes. The difference? The collateral damage was accidental, and was stated as such by the perpetrators, whereas on 9/11 all the deaths caused were deliberate, and were stated as such by the Muslims who supported, enjoyed, and celebrated over 9/11.

As opposed to the respectful silence shown by the western world after the passing of messrs Hussein and Bin Laden?

Mossad seemed to have known about the actions that led to 9/11 beforehand, I doubt the US didn't know either.

Throughout history, the reasons have always changed, yet one thing has remained constant: the violent spread of Islam. The Arabs started in one corner of Iraq. Now they have 22 Middle Eastern countries, won by the sword, and they had also made a very strong play for India. (Would-be Muslim conquerors of India built the Taj Mahal.)

But again, the reasons -- and the religions and nations they oppose -- keep changing throughout history, but one thing is always the same: Islam spreads, and it spreads primarily through violence. It also spreads secondarily through a shrewd ability to play to any particular culture's weaknesses -- in the West's case, these are political correctness and lawsuits.

They seem to be a very useful ally - after all, it's in their interests to be on the ball. They don't seem to have any trouble with defending themselves either.
