For the most part I liked George W. Bush as this country's president. He did make some stupid choices, but I don't believe that he intentionally set out to sabotage this nation.

Interesting guess, but you'd be wrong. I dislike Obama as much as I disliked Bush.

That was meant more for our liberal brethren.
You know, the ones that compared the Bush administration to the third reich and/or the sith and were actually serious.......

Really people deserve to be shot for talking badly about Obama? that's ridiculous I don't care if they're in the military or not.

I don't think wanting to defend the constitution and not having a good opinion of obama, and mouthing off are the same thing.

He's a low brow wingnut who doesnt have the brains to follow orders from his direct superiors. It's a Darwin Award in the making.

They should put him in the same cell with Manning. Those two seem to think that military rules are optional.

I thought the purpose of the military was to defend this country from enemies foreign and domestic more or less......I don't know about anyone else but I'd prefer the military takes the side of the constitution rather then the side of our government that just grows more corrupt and incompetent every day?

You don't want the army rather that the president deciding for things, believe me.

but when the commander and chief earns disrespect then should they be kept silent and not have the freedom of speech they fight for lazy civilians to have?

People in the military are volunteers and understand that they have given up certain of their rights to be in the military. People in the military also know how to show outward respect towards those they know to be incompetent morons. I was in the military, and I could tell you stories about some of these people. Not all of those in charge are idiots, but the ones who are get saluted just like those that are not. They even tell you to salute the uniform if you can't respect the person.

You aren't allowed to disrespect a superior officer or especially the commander-in-chief. You also aren't allowed to associate your uniform with your political views.

The article says he's been in for 9 years. He claims he "was shocked". You don't get to 9 years in without having training on exactly this topic, more than once.

It does not sound like the person the article was about broke any of the rules.

But you honestly think they should get shot for it? killed for not liking the president?...I mean if the military wants to kick him out over it cool, but no reason to go that far overboard.

When my granfather served in vietnam when he gave a order and people didnt follow he had them shot it was legal then I guess the worst possible punishment would be make hiim take 30 lashes like Johnny Rico did in the movie Starship Troopers.
