You anger me by contradicting me. You won't be in my afterlife.

Waiiiiiit, since I can assume whatever I want to, here, since this is entirely fantasy anyway, I am just going to imagine that you are going to be punished in some humiliating way for eternity for being lame, and I will be surrounded by beautiful men for eternity as a reward for being awesome.

Since we are dealing in unfalsifiability, I get to assume whatever I want to! Yippee!

That is the kind of response I would expect from a atheist.

Wow! You just added another humiliating thing to your list of punishments. Oh, buddy, you are sure going to be sorry! HAHAHA!

You see, I get to go to bed having really fun dreams about the stuff that is going to be happening to you, according to the afterlife that I get to envision, since we can just believe anything we want to. There are no rules, man! I just get to say I'm right! What is really wonderful is that it would be just as true as anything you could say!

Don't you see? I have total freedom to believe in an afterlife where I can just stand there poking you with a cattle prod for all eternity. Since we are abandoning all rime and reason, here, to what we base our beliefs on, I can just base my beliefs on whatever fantasy I can whack off to the best.

Quite frankly, I am a little bit more impressed with the moral fiber of the skeptics here, who actually expect...well, evidence, to actually declare a belief in something. I see that as a lot more honest. From my point of view, the skeptics are playing a clean game.

Maybe atheists have always been in the minority, but those of us who truly believe in honesty and fair play have always been in the minority. Brilliant men and women have always been in the minority. People who really know how to sing well have always been in the minority. Trying to say that any minority belief is inherently wrong just because it's a minority is, well...stupid.

A totally vacuous response! Man, I'm going to have some fun with you! I am going to go to bed at night and jerk off while I fill my head with lovely delusions, and nobody can stop me! HAHAHA!

I am happy with my atheism. Your religion is nothing but a fantasy. I can get better fantasy than the crap you believe in at the local cinema.

Look in Ezekiel 1, man. A metal man who sits on a blue throne and has four-headed monsters guarding him? On wheels with eyeballs around the rim? That's what your Holy Bible says your god is. It's right there in black and white. Look it up yourself. Anyone who looks closely at your religion can see it as the asinine crap it is. That's not a god. It's a drug-induced delusion. I'd have better luck tripping LSD.

But hey, I decided a while back I was going to stop being mean to religious people because it kind of got to the point of feeling like I was kicking puppies or something, so you go and believe whatever you want to, buddy. I know some people were just raised a certain way, and these beliefs are very close to their hearts. I kind of think it cheapens them to try to make them debate material.

If people are going to delude themselves by believing that works of fiction hold the truth of the universe, they could at least pick a good work of fiction. So if you really, really need to believe in sh*t all being connected, and spiritual stuff, with unexplained phenomenon actually being explainable by the efforts of tiny invisible elves- convert to Jedi

Hey, I'll just ask for opinions from other people participating in this discussion, and let's see what they think.

Does anybody think I ought to continue belaboring this exchange with Joker? Honestly, I'm running out of good material, here. If anyone really wants to see this go on, though, speak now, or forever shut the hell up. I'm actually getting to the point of resorting to 4chan/b/-style images, here.

Now, let's wait a while, Joker-boy, and see if we get any amens on that.

It depends. If you don't think about it very much, it is probably comforting to believe that you will live forever. However, if you think about the issue carefully, you will come to realise that eternal life would be the worst imaginable torment.
