ruveyn -- murder isn't the only crime; plus other crimes can do almost as much harm.

As for switching banks, at the time I was extorted to pay to cash my paycheck( written on an M&T account) at M&T Bank I did not have nor need a bank account anywhere.

Unless you buy checks, I've never had to pay to switch. Sometimes I even get free checks.

Wish that is how thing's worked in my state.

Anything you do in or at a bank costs money. Don't ask what time it is, they might try to charge you a fee.

What the Federal Reserve does is legal. Unfortunately.

Unfortunately, what The Fed did to me is a crime (U.S.C. @1001) it's perjury by omission. The Fed mislead me by stating they had no rules to cover check fees, when Section 3 of the UCC clearly states a check is payable on demand. The UCC is the law The Fed and 49 states follow.

That is your problem. Buyer Beware!

You should have checked out the bank's rules. That is your problem.

Have to side with this one. There are various places you can cash cheques and each has their own regulations. It's your money, and I would be quite precarious handing it over to any bank without checking their policies / conditions.

You missed my prior statement. I did not have a bank account at the time and my paycheck was written on an M&T check. The law says M&T Bank must honor, that is cash checks written on its accounts.
