I was talking to my dad. He said "the media said this would be a marathon, and nobody beats a Kenyan in a marathon!".

I'm going to apply for a "free" phone, see if I can get "free" health insurance," food stamps, and maybe housing stipends. Anyone who has studied history will know where the U.S.'s experiment with Socialism/Communism will end, but since this is what the nation as a whole wants, then I guess we should enjoy some of the temporary benefits.

And where is this communism you speak of, we don't really have a socialist or communist system.

Actually we do. In Communism, the government controls the land and other private property. If you think you own your own land, try adding to or modifying it without government permission (permits, etc.) and try stopping annual payments to the government in order to be allowed to live on the land.

Under Socialism/Communism, wealth is stolen (taxed, fined, regulated, etc.) from those who produce it and is given it to those who do not produce it. In a free market system, people give wealth to those who need it instead of it being taken under threat of force. "From each according to his ability and to each according to his need" is the main slogan of Communism.

Also, under Socialism/Communism government mandates what and how much people can produce as well as what they buy. Obamacare does exactly that. Farmers, for example are told how much of many crops they are allowed to produce.
Under a free market system, farmers are allowed to produce as much of a product as they want. Demand determines the price.

For the other comment about Obama not being a Socialist/Communist, I disagree. He was mentored by Frank Marshal, a card carrying member of the Communist Party, U.S.A. Obamacare one of the hallmarks of Communism.

You can disagree and argue with me all you want, but history is on my side. You may win the argument, but the majority of the U.S. will be in poverty as a result of the experiment with Communism. I'm not just blaming Obama. Bush Jr., Bush Sr., and Bill Clinton had their hand in it as well. Most people who grew up in Communist Eastern Europe or Communist Asia will testify that what I say is true. Believe me or not, you will see it for yourselves in the next decade or two.

I'm too drunk to read your whole post.

People who support Obama will quote facts to support their arguments and people who support Romney will quote facts to support their arguments. Nobody will ever convince someone else to vote or think differently. The person I worked with and myself had an agreement; since we were both on the opposite ends of the political spectrum we didn't talk politics.

I'm just glad that Romney didn't win. Also, they kicked Akin out of office. That made me happy. I don't know who they replaced him with, but hopefully it's not another pseudo-science fan.

I'm not enthusiastic about Obama, but Romney lies too much.

I wish third parties had a chance of winning.

Fabulous!! !! Don't you think that this is an example of "money can't buy everything"? I heard Romney had a budget of 2 Billion Dollars! !!

Can you imagine spending that much money just so that you could get a job? OK so it's the President of the US! I am sure that much money is more than some small countries have in their budget for a year.

Is it ironic that he's in Boston just waiting to celebrate becoming the 'next President of these United States' when the majority of the people in Massachusetts vote for his opponent? Wow! That could hurt.  8O

You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory... But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.

Over the next four years we can watch Obama and his neo-fascist buddies wreck the United States beyond repair. There is an old Klingon Curse: May you live in interesting times. I sure am!

Honestly... I am pretty happy that Obama beat out Romney, but I'm absolutely elated about Elizabeth Warren's victory. I always thought she was one of the strongest and most intelligent voices on the side of middle class consumer protection. The Senate will be all the stronger for her being there.

I'm also thrilled that Bill Nelson from the state of Florida (my home state, for voting purposes) retained his Sentate seat as well. Even if Obama had somehow lost, hearing that news made me feel like my ballot did some good after all.

Also, congratulations to Maryland, Maine and Washington state for passing their gay marriage initiatives. :)

McCaskill won the seat and she is not pseudo-science. Have the same sentiments that there could be better than Obama, but a Ronmey presidency really scared me. And I did vote 3rd party.
