As long as conservatives turn a blind eye to the down and out, the oppressed, the different, liberals will always be there to take their side. Thank God.

Last time I checked, the US Left was seriously pointing fingers at some group of people known "The One Percent" on behalf of some other group of people known as "The 99 Percent".

Wouldn't one percent of a population be a minority ? :scratch:

It depends on which leftists you are talking about. The governing party in my home province is very leftist yet also nationalist/separatist and exclusionary- minorities are not welcomed here

I (and others) do not regard redistribution of income as a proper function of government. That is charity at gunpoint. The proper functions of government are police to deal with internal crime, armed forces to defend the nation from foreign aggression and law courts to settle torts and deal with criminal matters. The fact that we need police and an army is the evil that necessitates the collection of taxes. Taxing those who have to give money to those who have less is theft. It is charity by billy club and gun.

The bleeding hearts of the Left are constantly making excuses for the substandard performance (on the average) of Negroes.

Some black folks are very sharp, others not so much. The average IQ of blacks in the U.S. is less than 100. The Left loves to blame it on slavery and rich white folks.

The american left side (democrats) has survived by trying to add in as many special interest groups as they can. Minorities being one of them. But those groups alone arent enough to completely dominate. They also need to have one more thing, a reason to unite. Otherwise all these groups will fall to a smaller party that more directly caters to their individual needs. This is where the right wing rich old homophobic biblehumping gun nut white guy stereotype comes in. It paints an image that everyone is against and that they are the only way to beat it. And to capture some of the younger voters throw in the whole fad of being popular and new agey. And that is the mix of what makes the democrats system of getting in office work.
