autism is why it's impossible to believe in God

Really? Where? Where? *looks left and right and back and forth*

It is here because Jesus died on the cross.

It is coming because the world has not ended.

Or at least, that's the theology.

Christianity is hard to accept because it means the end of Torah Judaism.

I'm on the autistic spectrum and I'm not an atheist. However I have pretty much rejected the Abrahamic religions' idea of God.

But I see no reason why autism has anything to do with belief or non-belief. There are atheists and agnostics not on the spectrum, and religious people on the spectrum.

I don't think the two - belief/non-belief and autism - have anything to do with one another.

Abrahamic religions are are a good shadow of a higher reality.

Possibly. I can get that out of Kabbalah, Sufism, Gnosticism, and from Jung's essay, "Answer to Job." But not so much from the mainstream religions themselves.

You've definitely got this much right - there's a huge tie in between what Jung says about the subconscious, the teachings of Gnosticism/Kaballah, and the kinds of things talked about if you ever have the chance to read some of the better-known Seth/Jane Roberts books such as Seth Speaks and The Nature Of Personal Reality. A lot of this is edified (both occult and Abrahamic outlooks) through QM, the double-slit and quantum eraser experiments with the suggestion that consciousness leads matter rather than vice a verse. NDE research by people like Pim Van Lommel, Mario Beauregard, and Sam Parnia puts further icing on the cake.

Actually, what you state is very typical to Western culture as such (focalising man and the concept of god derived from man's needs). I don't think autistic people have an additional perspective to atheism, except the extremities of loneliness can convince a person that the physical beings aren't the only ones unavailable.

I don't think shamans view their job in the manner you describe it, either.

iirc the real explanation is that there's some word in Ancient Greek (I believe) that encompasses both concepts.

Concerning the Kingdom of God, I recommend reading Bart Ehrman's book about the Apocalyptic Jesus. Very enlightening and not what you may have thought about the subject.

I used to be obsessed with learning about religion - comparative religion is a special interest of mine. What I have concluded is that I'm much more drawn to spiritual abstractions than to anything that attempts to concretize God either by personification or parable.

To me the Ein Sof, the Pleroma, Love as a form of energy, and so forth are fascinating - almost too fascinating. For me, it makes more sense to pay attention to this life than to what might lie beyond it. If I'm here for a purpose it's to live a life and then return. If I'm not here for a purpose, then it doesn't matter what I believe. Either way, belief isn't that important. It's how I live this life that's important.

Now I don't call myself an atheist per se. But as much bad things there are in the world, I can understand God's intention for a majority of them if there is one. Let's look at cancer for example, a terrible thing to have but if there was a God, it could be his means about teaching people the value of life and living for each day, especially if the cancer was inflicted on a child.

But for me, Autism is something that is hard to fathom why any God would create, especially the Christian God. Why would a God who is constantly using his followers to preach to everyone and get them to convert to his following create a neurological disorder that would make such a task completely impossible for one who has it? Why create a person and make them unable to do what you would want them to do on earth (which is to speak to people and preach the word of God to them)? And for what purpose would Autism in the human world help to serve God...especially since Autism thinking often consists of logic, rationality, and skepticism which is often highly discouraged when it comes to various religions? What point would God create by making Autism at all?

I know some preachers would say that autism is just a demon possession thing but I disagree with the idea for obvious reasons. The way I see it, if God exists then he is responsible for creating all the mental and neurological disorders that would inflict a human being or be given to one upon birth. Demon possession cannot serve as explanation any diagnostic conditions.

Because what matters is simply being alive. That is it. Life is precious because it is so rare. That's the message of God.

This kinda brings another nail to the coffin if the scientific proof the Earth is much older than 6000 years try 4.4 billion years old let alone fossilized evidence that animals did evolve! Was that did it in for me.

A quick review of OT prophecy and its metrics would tell you that the Jewish Messiah being predicted was not Horus repackaged.

Anyway most mainstream religions forbid the highest form of love which is communism, the ultimate form of sharing and caring.
Instead we are taught that God wants us all to be millionaires and we should hoard up all the treasures for ourselves.
Individual capitalistic success is a sure sign of God's blessing of prosperity says the preacher.
Any self realization that sharing is the highest form of love makes me out to be either a traitor or a mentally ill person who does not know any better.

Mainstream Christian theology is about sharing your wealth and giving 10% of what your income is to tithes and offering.
Christian theology also preaches about "For those who are last, come first."

Individualistic capitalistic success is result of the individual.

You seem pretty normal to me.
