So many conspiracy theories to choose from!

That the entire US government (from the presidents on down) has been involved in a cover up of UFO's for the last 70 years. And none of the millions of people involved in the coverup has squealed in all of that time.

That back in the seventh centurey AD Mohammed was handpicked and "set up" by the Vatican to start a fake religion (to be a thorn in the side of the eastern orthodox church of byzantium- or something- I forget what the alledged reason was).

In the depths of the Dark Ages the Vatican could barely scratch its own ass - much less pull strings in the Arabian peninsula. It hadnt become the powerful institution it would be later in the middle ages.

Ridiculous .

I mean, how do they make this up?

I did not know anyone believed that sort of lunacy. They'll do or say anything to scare people away from universal healthcare.

Here's one from years ago,

That Jimmy Saville was a prominent pedophile involved in Satanism and necrophilia, that he was an arranger for such activities amongst the British Establishment who therefore protected him from Police prosecution and put him in positions of power with access to young people.

I'm always a fan of the usual, Illuminati, Majestic 12 and Reptilians controlling everything.

I mean, you just have to replace those words with real world examples and it's right (change Majestic 12 for whatever federal government agency that's in your country; Illuminati with "bankers"; Reptilians with...{insert political party you don't agree with} or NTs (:P))!

I am rather fond of MK Ultra Monarch Programming (linked) in the entertainment industry. There are a ton of websites where people analyze popular music videos for clues and illuminati symbolism that reveals the pop singers to be mind controlled sex slaves. MK Ultra did exist, the government did research mind control (and I've little doubt they still do), but these guys take it to an amusing new level!

My favourite one has to be the one about Jews controlling the world and being the primary promoters of multiculturalism, even as they're being driven out of Northern Europe by hate-filled, uncivilised Muslim immigrants. It is hard to beat that.

There are conspiracy/gun nuts who believe the Sandy Hill massacre was staged by the government. So much so that they've been harassing the retired psychiatrist who had brought a group of children, who had fled the shooting, into the safety of his home. They've actually accused this decent man of having been paid by the federal government to lie about protecting those children via emails and phone calls!

I know all about the Tuskegee Experiment. It could not have happened without black Americans being held by most whites at that time as second class citizens, and even subhumans. I seriously don't see that motivation among the proponents of healthcare today - call me naive.

1.) Death ray from outer space destroyed the World Trade Towers
2.) Worldwide conspiracy involving all of someone's limbs being cut off and being kept in a box with a diaper
3.) The movie Machete actually being a Hispanic version of Birth of a Nation.
4.) The Dark Knight Rises being anti-Romney propaganda because the main villain is named Bane

I like the ones about time travel experiments at Montauk and the Philadelphia Experiment. (Not saying I believe them, I find them entertaining.)

I've heard those last two accusations. In fact, I saw lard ass Limbaugh making that charge in a clip of his show. Were he a comic book reader, he'd know the character Bane predates Romney's run for office this last election. Then gain, I doubt Limbaugh would care even if he did.

Jews do tend to promote multiculturalism generally but it's also true that many are making an exception for Muslims in Europe. Jews promote multiculturalism because states that are strictly based on a dominant ethno-religious group tend to be less friendly for Jewish people. If say Denmark decided to be very nationalist, then you are only really a citizen if you are Lutheran. Jewish people would not like that.
