Then I guess we can't send our children to school, outside to play, at the neighbors house. You think only child molesters hide in the church? Not true. Read the paper. My husband and I are sunday school teachers, and we've never molested children. I use to work with children who were sexual abuse victims, and not one of them was molested by anyone in the church.They were victims of parents,aunts,uncles,siblings,cousins,nieghbors. Not by anyone in the church like I was. And like I said, there was no God in that man. And never would I allow such evil to prevent me from doing what I love to do. I am soooooooo shocked by the ignorance that I'm reading here. So I guess those of you who have been writing here will trust any one with their child as long as they are not from church. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN. Because I'm sure you'd trust David Westerfield with them, because after all, he's not from any church.

people keep saying how priests should be allowed to marry because it'll keep the whole child abuse thing down.....no it won't. a majority of child molestation is about power than anything else. it'd easily make sense that someone who is a priests or rabbi or someone like that who strives for power would be abusive like that...i'm surprised the house of representatives doesn't have more child molesters.

allowing priests to marry would only serve to allow more men to become priests thereby making the ratio of sexual predators a lot lower but still there.

Castration has been statistically proven not to prevent recidivism in rapists. If they can't get it up, they'll just grab whatever's lying around and use that. Not being able to get an erection doesn't stop men from becoming sexually aroused, because it's sexual arousal that triggers it in the first place. At least that's my understanding.

But seriously. Castration doesn't prevent recidivism in sex offenders.

well if you're charitable and a little more left-leaning then you put them away by themselves and give them psychological counseling.

if you're not charitable, you just kill them. they're a detraction on society and have a perverse attraction towards power and abusing power.

i'd advise the former option considering the possibility of a false guilty verdict.

By the way, in the article over here http://www.theawarenesscenter.org/kolko_yehuda.html it was mentioned that Rabbi Kolko kept asking one of the victims "does it hurt" as he kept touching him. So it was very stupid of the victim not to say "yes it hurts" and then he would of stopped.

hows ted haggard these days? i hear hes completley cured of his homosexuality.. howed that happen in such a short period of time like that?

Actually I haven't heard any updates on him. Can you show me a link where it says he was cured?

P.S. to answer your quesstion, I iwould guess he is pretending to be straight again the way he did until he was caught. Of course it is in his favor to pretend that, I don't think there is anything too surprising. But still I would like to read it, just out of curiocity.

i dont have a link and i dont care that much to go searching for one. i heard it on the radio the other day though, it said he was completley cured of his homosexuality

And yes it sounds like he is lying again. Quite independently of whether or not it is possible to be cured so fast, he contradicts his own words about the past. The quote from one of these two articles is this:

""He is completely heterosexual," Ralph said. "That is something he discovered. It was the acting- out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing."

At the same time in the speech of appology he said "there is part of me so dark and repulsive I had been warring against it all my life"

So how can it be acting out if it is something he was struggling with all his life???

But then again since he was hiding for so many years he was gay, why not do it now especially since there is nice excuse -- he was "restored"
