“I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problem we’re facing right now has to do with George Bush bringing more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m president of the United States."
Barack Obama, 2008

How do we get Candidate Obama back? I kinda liked him.

Everything I'm reading says exactly the opposite, with historical precedent, an unpopular healthcare law, and the fact that Democratic control of the senate rests on a number of senators who won in red states during the anti Bush backlash of 08 all being contributing factors.

Remember that time websites with agendas were more accurate than Nate Silver's calculations? Me neither.

What "websites with agendas" did I cite?

Also, even Nate Silver isn't psychic, and if you'd bothered to read the link (literally, the date 7/15/13 is RIGHT IN THE URL), you'd have noticed it's age.

The Republicans managed to lose two seats in 2012 in the Senate so my guess is that they will break even in 2014 and lose at least five seats in 2016. I understand that there's Obamacare and Obama will likely continue to be implicated in more (and more serious) scandals but this country doesn't really care. Obviously I hope I'm wrong.

As for the House, they will lose a few seats every election but probably retain control until 2023, after the 2022 elections. The reason for this is that Democrats will probably be able to gerrymander in 2020 because they will have control over more state legislatures. This country is becoming more liberal every year. There really is no hope. After Obama won overwhelmingly in 2012, I realized we are in trouble more so because of the inability of voters to make a reasonable decision than four more years of Obama.

Seriously? LOL? I did laugh out loud when I heard that. Apparently Obama is not aware that Obamacare is a failure. I guess he hasn't been watching the news, seeing as that's where he learns about all of his administration's failures. I am so tired of Obama. He is so obviously incompetent and dishonest that he should have never been elected president--twice. It's just so stupid that he is the president. WTH America? Am I right?

They are in the process of fixing it . . . Obamacare is neither success or failure, it is an early step in the right direction.

Ha ha. Wait. You're serious?

Seriously, I don't understand why you oppose socialized health care. Do you think you are invincible or irrevocably wealthy? I will pay taxes gladly to see people's ill health treated. I don't want to live in a society where people are left to suffer and die when treatment is available.
