No sh*t the Republicans are out of touch with reality - proof of that is revealed by how Donald "Orangutan hair" Trump so far is leading in their Presidential candidate polls. Anyone who would support that egotistical, windbag of a flimflam man is a total and utter stranger to reality!

it is not that GOPers are "strangers to reality" but that they are strangers to anybody else's reality other than their own. it is like they are dogs stuck behind their masters' fences that bark viciously at anybody not related to their own kind who has the temerity to walk in front of their sight. shrub expressed this extreme tribalism best when he said "you're either with us or against us."

But the reality is, it isn't good to be a homophobe, Antisemite, racist, or a Nazi. In fact, all those positions are down right indefensible.

yeah he meant they claim anyone not with you is one of those. reality they aren't but its easier to defame your opponent with false names that will make others like them less then debate them.

calling someone a racist deosn't make them one. imagine if they used this tactic for everything

ALL « statists » are out-of-touch with reality. ALL of them... without exception.
I don't care if they're left-wingers, right-wingers, republicans, democrats, republicrats, democans, tea-parties, ANY kinds of voters, ANY kinds of tax-payers, liberals, conservatives, progressives, ANY kind of political-party, they are ALL foolish (for they are all promoting punishment of some kind against others who do not follow their same idealogies). What is a « statist » you ask ? You only need to learn what « statism » entails. Some good authors include Larken Rose, Trent Goodbaudy, etc.

Even the now-returned Messiah himself has declared that Government is an Institution designed by the Dark Sovereign Power (the DSP having been referred to in the past The Devil or Satan or Shetani or Baal or etc.) ! All who fund or promote or perpetuate its punitive-system in any way are unknowingly « walking the WIDE road to hell » (one of the quotes of his famous words that most of your typical Christians™ and all who think themselves wise seem to ignore).

Then again the mind/emotion-controlling « sin (used as a NOUN) » that infects all of humanity has such a mind-altering grip on the rational-thinking and logical-reasoning faculties of the « lost » that they will probably never be able to free themselves from its perception-scrambling influence (you know that drugs & alcohol are mind-altering substances, and you know they exist as a fact, but to think that those are the only things which can alter the mind or thought-processes that exist is extremely naïve & foolish).

Oups, also need to add, I have come across people who've viewed homeless people as being lazy, like they wouldn't be homeless if they would just get a job & be willing to work, BUT THE REALITY IS THAT THERE ARE MANY WORKING PEOPLE WHO ARE IN FACT STILL HOMELESS, and I used to be amongst them myself, and it came as a real surprise & shocker to me when I had learned that even a significant-percentage of the professors that taught at a community college I once attended, were also themselves homeless ! WTAFM (What The Absolute f**k Man) !

Something like 15% of students & professors confirmed homeless, but in the campus Jib-Sheet news-paper article, they suspected that the actual percentage may have actually been closer to 25%.

But contrary to what the right would have you believe, people don't regularly accuse someone of being a racist, a homophobe, an Antisemite, or a Nazi without something bad or perceived to be bad coming out of that person's mouth. For instance, the mayor of Airway Heights, one of the little municipalities gathered around Spokane, made incredibly racist attacks on the President and the First Lady on Facebook, calling Barack a monkey, and Michele a gorilla. And yet this guy denies that he's a racist (he's also made homophobic and misogynistic statements on the internet in the past, as well), though I think his denials mean little at this point. Sure there have been idiots who have slammed others with accusations of being bigots, and that's wrong, but the right has gone overboard in their counter claim that any accusation of racism, homophobia, or religious intolerance is groundless.

It's worse than that, even.

I'm afraid to even imagine anything worse.

but not doing so leaves one less prepared for the inevitable worse to come. things will continue to get worse for a good while yet. this American century is amounting to a nasty one.

Yeah, what's worse is Trump isn't even in the top 10 worst candidates this cycle

Republicans are not out of touch. They want to preserve America as a free and prosperous nation. This is something Democrats have no clue about

Preserve? that's a funny word for wanting to transform it into a fictional version of the 1950's.
