Thanks to Obama, the US is becoming closer to Iran through the nuclear dear while distancing from the old ally Saudi Arabia; a nuclear-armed Iran (it might happen despite the so-claimed inspections) is the worst nightmare for many Arab sates.

The Saudi King's response to this American shift? The right smart response, a big tit for tat:

The new king realizes that the US is abandoning him and the Gulf states long enough before the success of the nuclear deal; the war on Yemen's Houthis and the short notice given to the US before the strike, wasn't just a political warning to Iran - but he wants to change his country's image from "lazy rich, non-fighting state" to a "war state that won't hesitate to use force"; and that was a warning to everyone present in the area.
Strengthening relations with Egypt is also part of this plan.

And, when the sanctions are lifted and Iranian government has access to increased funding and can export, they will most likely be the ones who fight ISIS.

America lifting sanctions was the price for getting Iran to fight ISIS.

Iran's goal is clearing a pipeline right of way through Iraq and Syria.

Iraq is about to cease to exist. No one seeks to recover the Kurd section, they have withstood ISIS.

The rest of the country is about to get cleared.

The only place ISIS can go is Turkey. For that they have to break through the Kurds.

Iran could overrun Iraq in two weeks. In three they could link up with Damascus.
