Bernie Sanders is the only candidate from the two parties I'd get behind, because he's the only pointing out, in no uncertain terms, that cancer that is killing our country. I fear for his life, though, if he were to win the Democratic nomination.

F*** Trump and the horse he rode in on.I don't care for McCain, but I respect his service.Doubt Trump would have had the grit to survive a POW camp.No lobster served there or fresh linens.

McCain is not a good person and doesn't deserve any respect considering his life's work. He was a mediocre at best soldier who graduated at the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy, he probably should of never been allowed to be a pilot. He was protected by his admiral father his whole career and exploited his own POW status to further his career in politics while abandoning his fellow POWs left behind in Vietnam. When he was a POW he blabbered on his fellow comrades in an attempt get better treatment which he already received as an Admiral's son. He wasn't a hero, he survived.

Basically how I feel.

POWs deserve respect, but McCain has MILKED his POW status to basically shield himself from accountability.

He's not a conservative. He's betrayed America in hundreds of ways as a politician, and he points to his status as a POW to somehow shut detractors up.

Well, guess what Johnny-boy, you WERE a POW 40+ years ago. Time to own up to the acts you've taken SINCE THEN and stop resting on what you once were.

I really wonder what Trump's true psychological issues are, aside from being a colossal narcissist. You have to be divorced from reality to run for president, and not realize how making such arrogant statements would be received. Any clinicians care to make make a diagnosis?

His money has always allowed him to break the rules, do what he wants. Even saying those things about Mexicans which was universally panned in the media put him on top of the Republican polls and made him practically the only Presidential candidate people are talking about. Why would he think saying this about McCain would be a negative for him?

People like Trump because he isn't showing any reverence or respect for this dog and pony show, he isn't walking on eggshells and he doesn't need 5 polls done before he'll open his mouth on any given issue. He's basically just a big middle finger to whole system.

It makes me sad that Gary Johnson ran in 2012, he should of ran as a Republican in 2016. Rand hasn't respected his base, he's not his father and it is hard to get full heartedly support his campaign when he's pretending to be a Neocon. I miss Ron. :(

Trump, if he gets the GOP nomination, will do for the GOP what Hillary Clinton might do for the Democrats, that is screwing the American people over if elected.

say what you will about The Rump with the hairy meatloaf on his head, he is cagey enough to see the hypocrisy of the GOP on display [anybody remember the "purple heart bandaids" back in 2004?], and tweak them on it.

Again Trump inserts foot into mouth. Trump is nothing but an elitist who has never had to struggle a day in his life. He doesn't have much in common with 99.99% of the country. Presidency would be a mistake.

AsPartOfMe, I agree that Trump has utilized his straightforwardness to gain him fans with the Republican Base. But he should have smart enough to realize that you don't denigrate a war hero -- especially if you haven't served in the military yourself.

So now "The Donald" has gone on record as: (1) having gone bankrupt, not once, but four times; (2) racial discrimination, especially against Blacks and Mexicans; and (3) showing contempt for military veterans.

He has single-handedly made Hillary Clinton look like the better candidate.

:eew:

I think I'll move to the Philippines ...
