Big Carbon is the devil. Have a big windmill instead.

We already have many windmills!! !

We inch closer and closer to our true destiny which is sun and air but coal interests still try to butt in when they can even though it's not the wisest choice for the area.

Some people have the nerve to accuse windmills of throwing ice and scaring birds just to try to push the coal. Then they go and say it's too much hassle to manufacture a solar panel, it takes too much energy. One solar panel could last as long as a hundred years if it were optimized and manufactured to do so. That's a lot of energy!

We may already be past the point of no return as far as the environment is concerned. It's likely our days are numbered on this little planet. Still, we have to keep trying. It's going to be up to the people to get involved in large numbers and force our corporate-sucking elected officials to pursue clean energy more vigorously. They still rely on our votes to stay in power.

Coal has a huge phobia about being squeezed out of all markets but there are some where it is the best option, just not all. Nuclear obviously can't fill in all gaps because some places are too unstable and vulnerable to natural disasters, earthquakes in particular. Mining companies spend a lot of money being sure people are too scared of other options so they can keep the biggest market share. They propagate lies, particularly about expenses. Truth is, you can make more money on sunlight than you can coal.

That's absolutely fantastic! Big Carbon and Big Steel are thankful on behalf of mother nature.

No we do not. Humanity was doing fine before the industrial revolution (They may have strugled more, but it was more from less developped technology that from a "lack" of CO2.) The CO2 from animal respiration is enough for plants in short and middle term, and volcanoes eruptions is enough for the CO2 leaking in space for the long term. Well then, you have every reason to support solar and wind options when they are the most convenient.

Which is never. We won't run out of hydrocarbons and nuclear fuel anytime soon, and Lockheed Martin has promised us fusion energy within a few years.

Right now, in some places, they are convenient and actually a better option than coal is what I'm telling you! All over the south solar panels are going up in municipalities because the mayors like the results in their budgets. It should be encouraged! Don't resist it based on a bias against it! That bias was created by people who have interest in selling more coal and panic whenever they see a solar panel because the idea might catch on! It saves money.
I would suggest any city that gets a lot of sun should use them on a regular basis as much and as often as possible. That is my official recommendation.

Solar is unsustainable, and will go extinct when Donald Trump stops subsidizing it. So-called renewable energy is a thing of the past, but fear not, the military industrial complex will come to the rescue, as it always does.

Cities do like solar because they can buy a panel, put it on a light, and it saves them money each month. In a place that gets abundant sunlight most of the year, it is an entirely feasible and reasonable option. It's all about practicality and if the result is less pollution, so be it, but cities should, at least, be allowed to put up solar panels without people complaining about it if they can save money that way. Electronic signs on highways can and are run on solar as well.

Right now the state I live penalizes those wishing to go solar in residents with what is called a "sun tax" which is completely ridiculous considering sun and wind are far more practical than importing coal around here. There's no importing those! They are all around everyday. Summers are notoriously sunny. They call this place the Sun Belt. So, why be penalized for putting the sun to good use?

Not if you count what is paid in taxes to subsidise it.

If solar energy were utilized more, it would pay for itself by saving money. It's just there's factions against it and they spread misinformation about how it takes a lot of energy to create a solar panels but you see, the idea is not to completely obliterate coal, it's to cut down on it's usage through the hybridization with wind and solar so less is used. All of them work together.

What the coal industry wants is for every power plant on earth to be fueled with coal alone and it's obvious why they want this. It's because they make billions and billions of dollars if they are the sole provider of fuel. But is it the best option? That's not always so clear!
