So, alternatively, would you suggest we should, essentially, alter our policies so ISIS will be happy?
So, we shouldn't have bad feelings over acts such as 9/11 and Bakersfield and try to protect ourselves from attacks on our citizens? The "the anti-immigration crowd" phrase sounds kind of flippant to me. No offence meant.
I'm sure ISIS has tales of supposed persecution aplenty. I'm sure they will find a way to spin a conclusion any way they wish, and it will be well received by disenchanted youth.
No, I'm saying the anti-immigration crowd are putting us all in danger by allowing ISIS and others to define us by said anti-immigration crowd's words. There is a huge difference avenging 9/11, and bigots and demagogues painting all Muslims with the same brush.
Here was I thinking that us bombing their families and homes, occupying their country, overthrowing their leaders, installing puppet dictators, starting fake "democratic" revolutions, and you know actually giving weapons is what put us at danger from ISIS. I didn't know they cared so deeply about our visa requirements or immigration policy, that's almost as good as they hate us for our freedom. No, we need to bring these people that hate us over here because that's just a recipe for peace. Even if they're personally appreciative of at least being afforded a first world life, their kids won't and they'll feel even more isolated if they cannot integrate. EU nations account for a large part of the foreign fighters in ISIS, thousands and thousands of them and they will all be able to return home. I'm sure they'll leave their jihad back in Syria, they definitely wouldn't attack their country of birth....

When did I ever say those things you counted off didn't contribute to ISIS and their ilk hating us? Sure, it certainly contributed, but the Trump crowd demagoguery certainly isn't helping.

The real supporters of ISIS are those supported arming those "rebels" in Libya and Syria, the real ISIS supporters were the people that invaded Iraq, the real ISIS supporters are those that want to remove Assad from power.
ISIS really hates Donald because he is the only one talking about cooperating with the Russians who we need to cooperate with to have any chance of defeating them. I don't think Trump will be beholden to the Saudis, the Saudis and their extremist ideology are the evil empire we need to defeat to defeat terrorism

Regardless, ISIS knows Trump's hateful and paranoid words will work in their favor when the rest of the Islamic world believes Trump speaks for the west.

Perhaps it is time to rethink our alliance with Sunni Arabs, we shouldn't legitimize the poisonous Wahhabi strain of Islam coming from Saudi Arabia by allowing them to represent the whole of Islam. The Saudis are the head of the snake, they are our true enemy.

You have absolutely no disagreement with me on that point.

I can't imagine Jesus turning away thousands of desperate, frightened people. Goes to show you who are the real Christians. While most American denominations have officially advocated bringing in the Syrian refugees, hardhearted individual phony Christians like Mike Huckabee and Franklin Graham want to let them die for fear of a handful of terrorists possibly getting in.

If that is the case then those refugees should stay in Syria and just deal with living under Assad, they'll just have to be willing to accept the reality of that situation to keep the peace for MILLIONS of needy people. We don't owe anybody anything.

What's wrong with people not wanting to live under a police state, or worse, a fanatical theocracy? Would you be willing to choose between Assad or ISIS?
And no, we don't owe anybody anything. But we as a country and a culture pride ourselves in helping out the oppressed and the hungry, as so many Americans are the descendants of such people.

That's great if you were able to manage to put all devout Christians first in the line to be bombed or shot. But what of other people who don't share your religious views? Imagining my children killed because someone wants to be sanctimonious doesn't fit MY life's goals. It sounds like that would be called RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE unless I'm mistaken.
I like Muslims. I just don't like the killing kind who hide themselves behind others. And I don't want them near myself or my family.
