So, we shouldn't allow Muslims into the country, BUT if they get in we should let them buy guns?

You can't exactly say just no Muslims into the country - it would have to be all immigration. They were talking about it on the radio how the President could stop all immigration, but not stop only specific immigrants from entering the country.

You could force every gun shop in America to provide a platter of little pork sausages on tooth picks next to the register. If a customer refuses to eat one-then you can't sell 'em a gun!

But then vegetarians and vegans couldn't buy guns.

Same for [dirty] Jews and 7th day adventists...

So, that's no good.

Pardon me, but are you against Jewish people?

We are a nation of immigrants. We tend to lose sight of that.

But when we have immigrants coming in and doing terrorist activities, then maybe the immigration stuff should be put on hold for awhile.

I believe the San Berdoo shooters illegally obtained two rifles which were already illegal to own where they lived. They then illegally modified one with an illegal high-capacity magazine and illegally converted the other to full automatic. They'd already broken a long list of laws before they abandoned their baby and went off to (illegally, of course) slaughter the same people who'd given them a baby shower. Is there some other law which, had it been in effect, would have made them pause and say, "Whoa, we can't do that, it's illegal!"

I thought everything they did was legal and that's why nothing could have been done to stop the shooting. They had no past record so they could buy guns legally and he was here on some kind of a marriage citizenship which was all legal immigration-wise.

Anyway, with terrorists the laws don't matter anyway. The laws only restrict responsible gun owners from protecting themselves. They said this building was targeted because it didn't have a lot of security. I think all businesses should have more guns and security along with letting all citizens carry on all properties. Kansas is changing the law on that actually in 2017, I believe, so business owners and schools can't say that guns are not permitted on their properties.

We have to closely monitor people who have, say, travelled to Syria since the civil war started there. Especially if they are not Syrian citizens.

We are a special nation because immigrants built it.

No everything observable that they did that wasn't related to the crime itself wasn't criminal or likely to tip off suspicion that they were up to something. I doubt they told their neighbors about getting the guns and planning to shoot people.

No, those guns were bought legally.

However, every illegal step the bad guys are forced to take is an opportunity to catch and arrest them BEFORE a mass murder.

It doesn't seem to be clear at this point if it was a straw purchase or an illegal transfer. Either way they did not legally obtain the rifles.

Not that it should be legal to build a pipe bomb, or to convert a semiautomatic to full auto. But it's kind of hard to catch someone doing illegal stuff in his basement until he brings it out in the open and starts using it.

Just what I thought. Another "goon" that can make fun of the other side (that's the easy part), but not come up with any action plan of their own. You're actually on the right side - the Left, standing behind a president who also has no action plan. Keep up the good work.

What does that mean?

Because that's their only suggestion for stopping gun violence/mass shootings.

well, that's all the more reason to make it illegal for Muslims to even own guns at all, not to mention pipe fittings!
