They would need their own currency too. Unless they decided to start a cashless society.

Needless to say they would absolutely have to make Arnold Schwarzenegger their first president.

I wonder where the nation's capital would be placed. Would they just stick with Sacramento or move it to San Francisco or Los Angeles or San Diego?

Actually, they probably would keep the US Dollar.

A few countries, most prominently Ecuador, actually use the US Dollar as their currency.

Many other countries gladly accept US Dollars, in addition to their local currency.
