Perhaps that is true, but the white nationalists were the one side that was ready to commit murder in the process. There is a difference between getting in a fistfight and trying to murder a crowd of people by speeding a car into them.

I would say the scale of the white nationalist aggression kinda overtook anything the counterprotesters were up to the second one of the white nationalists attempted an act of mass murder.

Yeah I'd have to agree.

It is called "lone wolf" terrorism. As long as it violence aimed at intimidating others for social or political reasons it is terrorism it should not matter if it one person or a group.

Probably the BLM guy was a lone wolf. From what I see the BLM is not really a group but more like each chapter doing its own thing. Some BLM folks want violent revolution some want to go the civil disobedience route. The Charlottesville guy is going to make a lot of people more reluctant to counter protest an "alt right" protest. The Dallas guy had to increase fear among cops in that city.

Please forgive my angry reactions earlier in this thread.

Still, the POTUS being unwilling to state that a patriotic American citizen was murdered on American soil by a National Socialist is pretty tacky.

You stand by your fan?

But do you give it two arms to grasp onto?

And a warm place to come to when the night is cold? :)

I think Sargon hit this one pretty roundly - ie. they're all idiots, and Trump was precisely on point to gather all idiots into his condemnation of violence. Also the vehicular homicide was a sickening tragedy, I'm sure we'll find out more about the guy and what went on around that. The main consideration regarding the rally itself though and everyone else in attendance, it's pretty much what we knew was coming after watching everything on the west coast for the last several months. The breakdown of civil discourse brings both extremes out of the woodwork.

That bloated, oafish conman, Alex Jones, is already calling the death by driver-Nazi a "False Flag Operation," set up by Marxists and the Deep State. As Jones doubtlessly knows this really happened (just as he really knows what happened at Sandy Hook actually took place) I wonder how that fat cretin can live with himself after vomiting that mixture of feces and rotting offal.

He makes money. That's how he lives with it.

We need to resurrect Hunter S Thompson just so he could write a series of pieces on Alex Jones. :D

Best idea I've heard today! Now, we just have to make Herbert West and his Re-Agent real, and we're good to go!

Alex Jones - is he the conspiracy theory guy whose voice sounds like he overdosed on enough caffeine for twelve people and has been chain smoking for 300 years?
I figure it is safe to conclude that dud has issues.
And I wonder what purpose evolution has for his existence.

Yes, that would be him.
As for his place in evolution: I like to think he's a mistake by nature, and an evolutionary dead end.

It'd be political suicide for Drumpf to speak out against white supremacy, fascism, or neo Nazism. :P

Like most of these incidents, this is probably a mental illness issue, not terrorism.

Unless, we judge people based on outcome, rather than motivation?

If this was done by a member of Daesh, it would've been called terrorism. But because it was done by a "mere" neo Nazi, he gets a free pass and gets labeled a murderer instead. b***h, please. This is domestic f*****g terrorism.
