You should, 38 percent of the country is a lot of people. They are the reason Trump likely will not be removed prior to the voters doing it in 2020 or the constitution doing it on January 20, 2025. Even if the is a Progressive wave they will remain a disruptive force on their own and causing emotional damaging reaction on the left.

Hume is not somebody who is exactly an "objective voice" in this.

Yeah, Trump might have a little difficulty explaining this one. And it won't matter one bit to his loyal supporters.

He's not going to explain it. He's going to hope no one notices.
Well, if the Internet has noticed, it's too late for that.

He still won't address it. You'll never have the satisfaction of seeing his flustered attempt to explain himself.

Nobody in the corporate media is likely to bring up the quote anyway.

Now Schumer shuts down the US government because he wants amnesty for illegal aliens?

Republican news headlines: "Democrats put illegal aliens before American citizens".

What do Democrats say?

As if anyone in Congress is looking out for American citizens. Wake up! All the bickering between parties is nothing but theater. And the oligarchs are producing the show.

What do you propose people should do about it after they "wake up"? Do you have a plan for fixing the system?

Not voting for candidates from either the two major parties is a good start. Secondly, Americans are going to have to deprogram themselves from decades of propaganda. We have the power to change things if we educate ourselves, and get involved in the legislative process. That means letting our elected officials know what we think and that they won't be getting our votes if they continue to pass legislation that doesn't benefit the people, but rather their corporate benefactors.

They probably say "Democrats don't treat innocent children like criminals".

Regardless of exactly what they say, they're winning - 82% of Americans support DACA, including 75% of Republicans.

The bottom line: their parents bought them here. They didn't come illegally under their own volition. The vast majority of them were educated here, and have had success here. America is more their culture than their supposed "home countries." In fact, they would feel like aliens in their "home countries," and might be treated like aliens within their "home countries."

I don't see any justification for not allowing the "dreamers" to remain in the country. By and large, they will be contributing, taxpaying people.

And what of their parents? Do they also get off free?
Should just open the borders drop all security and let anyone in.

Why do you have such problems with immigrants?

I wish we would bring back something like Ellis Island--but without all the abuses which occurred in Ellis Island.

The vast majority of immigrants aren't here to commit crimes, to get a "free ride," to sponge off people. They are here to work hard, and make a better life for their families. That's the truth of the matter.

I've actually known quite a few immigrants.

It’s this thing called the law. And if they willing to break it then they willing to break any laws, laws are important. I have no problem with legal immigrants who come legally obeying laws. Crossing a fence at night then hiding in the population is illegal. Other country’s would lock them up for life if not shoot them on site. Go illegally cross into Iran or North Korea. I have no respect for people who break laws, non. If they want to do,s here they can get a green card findna job then take a citizen test and do it the right way like millions of others do. To do otherwise is an upfront to hard working legal immigrants.

It’s annoyingly funny how people so anti gun, anti constitution who want to us to respect their anti gun laws then go and openly violate the immigration laws.

Yeah, we have a legal process so we can screen them, and make sure they're not potentially dangerous.

"Immigration violations now make up more than half of all federal prosecutions"

Immigration violations are majority of federal cases for first time
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/11/29/im ... -time.html

As of Nov 2017, Immigration violations are the #4 most common federal crime ... 12,617 violations
https://www.bop.gov/about/statistics/st ... fenses.jsp

We are throwing a huge amount of money at border patrol, courts, prosecutors and prisons just for illegal people who think it's OK to bypass the laws.
