Am I attractive? LOL

Well, I'm sure glad someone is doing this vital research, and giving us the answer we've been craving for ages.

More like conservatives are more prone to fall for stupid crap studies for some kind of need for self-validation. I mean, how stupid are you to have the need to feel superior to others?

A lot of so-called "incel" guys are like this. Look it up.

Warning: If you read stuff by "incels", you may die laughing.

Too much vitriol for a "bleeding heart liberal". Hypocrisy at its finest.

I am very amenable to change...
But not *that* amenable... ;)
Damn that "Y' chromosome!...

Besides...
I'd never get anything done if I went for the change...
I'd be in front of a full-length mirror appreciating myself 24/7...

That is an interesting theory, but I can't say I really buy it.

it's gotten to the point where if I see an attractive person, I feel wariness based on past experience, IOW I viscerally distrust them unless they show themselves to be trustworthy. the sociopaths I've known were generally physically attractive/athletic, and had charisma and could get people to support them no matter what they did. i'm reminded of the present occupant of the white house who, when he was young, was a better-than-average-lookin' guy.

I have come to the conclusion that most attractive people can't help but take themselves too seriously...
Human psychology is extremely egocentric...and very self-serving...

In essence, it is a different form of power...
And we all know the adage:
"Power corrupts...
Absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely..."

It seems to work for them...<shrug>

^^^speaking of "power corrupts"... more than one genetic study has concluded that attractive people generally have better genes [evidenced by body symmetry/overall health and life expectancy] than people who are not so attractive, they tend to be stronger/more rugged/athletic/smarter/happier/healthier/more successful in life. psychologist Lewis Terman (early IQ tester and author of a longitudinal study he turned into a book, "The Gifted") from his studies believed the same thing. these stronger people, by dint of their strength, tend to use their increased power to take advantage of people not similarly gifted.

Well it is a conservative article, but I can see how conservatives are better looking then liberals considering they are more orderly and clenly.
