Autism Research is evil and should be banned!

We think you're a fascist because of your constant demands to outright ban anything you disagree with.
If I want a cure for my autism, I should have that right. Who are you to attempt to limit my medical treatment?

Rather our society is very much discriminating against disabled.
I want neither. But frankly speaking, after so many years of anti-autistic hatred, I really do want revenge!
We don't care about some angsty revenge stuff. On the other hand have you thought about the autistic people who want to lessen and alleviate their symptoms?

Have you thought that maybe your thread is the real disgrace?
And here we go with some no true Scotsman fallacy combined with a straw man. None calls you a fascist because you would dislike a cure for autism, but rather because you want to ban the research on it.

1. Autistics can have a much better life if the rest of society would just RESPECT us and ACCEPT us for WHO WE ARE as INDIVIDUALS!
But society refuse. NT-society wants to make us like them. They don't care about pluralism/diversity! They HATE autistics! That is why I am angry at NT-society! Because a lot of NT's (not all of them though) hate autistics!
2. There is much MUCH more to fascism than no research. Besides, fascist countries did/do a lot of research in various stuff. Look at North Korea, Iran etc. They are fascists, and they do a lot of research. So do China. I don't want to live in a Fascist state, and I don't like being called a Fascist just because I want basic human rights and a protection of my own dignity!
GET IT?
_I_AM_NOT_A_FASCIST!

First of all, you are not the only person with a crackpot opinion on this website. Second, the only 'disgrace' lies in expecting everyone else to support you when you have done nothing to support them first.thinkinginpictures wrote:

Third, posting a sweeping attack against people who don't agree with you is a sure way to NOT get them to support you. Finally, it is a characteristic of Fascist mind-sets to ban everything they don't like. Now, if you want people to play with you on your terms, then you first need to play nice!

I'm not going to play nice, as long as you insist I am a fascist, while I am definetly NOT!
Besides, banning a lot of stuff in society does not neccessarily equal fascism. What about Germany? Sweden? Denmark? They have a lot of laws & bans. Are they fascists?

If you want respect and acceptance, then you need to be the first to show respect and acceptance of others; such as accepting that research for a cure for autism will go on, with or without your approval, and showing respect for those whose opinions differ from your whether you not you respect their opinions.thinkinginpictures wrote:

So you hate all NTs because of what you believe some NTs feel about you. Sad.thinkinginpictures wrote:

Anything that bans free speech, free thought, and free inquiry is Fascist, by nature.By the way, pointing fingers at others as a means of diverting attention away from yourself isn't going to work. If you have problems with Germany, Sweden, and Denmark, then take it up with them in another venue -- those polities are not members here.

So you hate all NTs because of what you believe some NTs feel about you. Sad.What the f* is wrong with you? I explicity stated _NOT ALL OF THEM THOUGH_ (I've highlighted that part in my comment). I hate NT-SOCIETY (the society made by the NT's) - not all the NT's themselves!
If we're going to discuss please refrain from any further wrong accusations against me!
Or I will report your post!

For yourself only, and not for researchers or anyone who disagrees with you. Even more sad.Wrong again. I want basic human rights for everyone, and a ban on research is not against basic human rights. Basic human rights include the right not to be discriminated against, not to be jailed or punished without a fair trial etc. etc.
It has nothing to do with research.

I'm not diverting anything. Fact of the matter is, you claim bans on free speech is fascist by nature. I say, then Denmark, Sweden, Germany etc. etc. are fascists by nature too. Keep to your own definitions, please, and argue why ie. Sweden is a fascist nation.
Btw. you clearly did not understand what fascism is. Here is an article for starters. Try this:
https://www.livescience.com/57622-fascism.html
Quote:
Robert Paxton, a professor emeritus of social science at Columbia University in New York who is widely considered the father of fascism studies, defined fascism as "a form of political practice distinctive to the 20th century that arouses popular enthusiasm by sophisticated propaganda techniques for an anti-liberal, anti-socialist, violently exclusionary, expansionist nationalist agenda."

Go ahead. If you'll look closely, you will see that at least one moderator of this website agrees with the assessment of your socio-political leanings.

The moderator is wrong then. I'm not a fascist, by the very definition of what Fascism means:
You clearly do not understand what fascism is. Here is an article about fascism:
https://www.livescience.com/57622-fascism.html
Quote:
The primacy of the group. Supporting the group feels more important than maintaining either individual or universal rights.
Believing that one's group is a victim. This justifies any behavior against the group's enemies.
The belief that individualism and liberalism enable dangerous decadence and have a negative effect on the group.
A strong sense of community or brotherhood. This brotherhood's "unity and purity are forged by common conviction, if possible, or by exclusionary violence if necessary."
Individual self-esteem is tied up in the grandeur of the group. Paxton called this an "enhanced sense of identity and belonging."
Extreme support of a "natural" leader, who is always male. This results in one man taking on the role of national savior.
"The beauty of violence and of will, when they are devoted to the group's success in a Darwinian struggle," Paxton wrote. The idea of a naturally superior group or, especially in Hitler's case, biological racism, fits into a fascist interpretation of Darwinism.

Oh, I have a very clear knowledge of what Fascism is all about. Your one reference is clearly tailored to your mindset (or vice-versa ... ?).No it is not. Fascists believe in military service (I oppose it). Fascists believe weak people should be killed off. I oppose it. We could go on and on and on.
I'm not a fascist.
