If covid-19 was man made, what would be the motivation?

The “bat” thing was there from the start.

It was originally speculated that bats passed it to pangolins, who passed it to humans.

Even with this version, I can ask the same question: why didn't it happen earlier? Several centuries went by and nothing was happening till last year.

This sort of thing.....animal to human transmission causing epidemics and pandemics—has been happening for centuries.

it has been said, from time to time, that "there are no accidents."

*!puts on tinfoil hat!*

The virus was created by a Russian/Chinese axis to destabilize the United States and other western democracies. The recent rise of inept authoritarian strongmen at the head of western countries like Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, and Jair Bolsonaro was orchestrated by this same alliance through a massive disinformation campaign to destabilize these countries. The coronavirus was then released knowing full well that the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, and other countries would botch containing the virus. Bow to the new world order!

*takes off tinfoil hat*

All signs point to a natural origin for the virus

i have not heard of a common cold or flu causing people to need lung transplants, like this present bug is doing to some.
i read that the flu bugs that scared us previous to this present mess, caused about 60k casualties per year, in america. we are on track to tripling that figure. something is fishy, big-time, and the answers are elusive.

It probably didn't exist until recently or even if it has existed for a while that doesn't guarantee it will jump to humans. Random mutation I would guess.

The luck of the draw, probably.

Why didn’t the Hong Kong Flu fester in 1958, instead of the Asian Flu?

The Spanish Flu of 1918-1919 was worse than COVID.

But how likely is it for them to be so lucky for several centuries in a row?

Also, how would you explain why the first place the virus was detected just happened to be the lab?

What actually happened was that a surge of new pneumonia cases was noticed in Wuhan,

But I heard there was something noticed specifically in the lab rather than the city as a whole.

If they truly wanted to kill them, why are they shutting down the country to save their lives? I guess you could say they don't want to look bad. But the other way not to look bad is to simply be quiet about it in the news. And then the virus would have done its job without anybody noticing (the 1 in 100 infection rate is pretty hard to notice unless the news keep talking about it).

I know what happened!

China is plotting to get Biden elected, and Russia is plotting to reelect Trump.

So Russia seeded the blue states with the virus to decimate the Democrat vote. And in retaliation China seeded the sunbelt red states with the same virus to decimate the MAGA vote. Thats why it hit the blue states hardest first, and why it is now hitting the red states equally hard.

That should earn me the Tin Hat Award for excellence in paranoia! :D

I'm just tired of Covid and of hearing about it! I wish it would get a virus of its own.
