It's a fascinating topic. From what I can gather, we don't really know what caused these Biblical natural climate shifts even within the human era, though there are many educated guesses. It's a good reason to remain skeptical of modern climate science. If we don't understand what happened and why, even in the recent geological past, how can we be so certain of what is going on now?

Can anyone explain this hysteria to me?

You haven’t touched the real hysteria here Op.

They have been saying this “times almost up due to agw/cc” decades and all they can do about it is carbon tax

Then Covid comes along and suddenly it is time to get serious

Where are all the over pop whiners now,

lmao, rip prince virus

In other words, according to “the” science, these f*****g masks etc may be saving enough of us to go on all overpopulated and wipe out all life in a few short decades.

If I was looking to buy a big bridge I’d know where to start.

Ps who will come at me with that silly malice quote first :jester:

f**k hanlon for trying to whitewash stupidity

If climate change needs a satanic freemason puppet to front, it's a hoax.

Didn't you know that covering your right eye and shaking hands with the pope is a proof you're controlled by satanic freemasons? /s

It is always good to maintain skepticism in these politically charged subjects if one embraces a scientific mindset. 8)

Quote:
Definition of skepticism
1 : an attitude of doubt or a disposition to incredulity either in general or toward a particular object. 2a : the doctrine that true knowledge or knowledge in a particular area is uncertain. b : the method of suspended judgment, systematic doubt, or criticism characteristic of skeptics.

I beet gretathunberg uses plenty of fossil fuels every day in so many different ways she would have so much more credibility with me if she could go ten days without any fossil fuels

to heck with credibility*, what a sick boat!

Quote:
Launched as Gitana 16 is an IMOCA 60 monohull sailing yacht, designed by VPLP and Guillaume Verdier and constructed by Multiplast in France.[1][2] The yacht's hull has a tumblehome shape and it is equipped with foils, the foils were upgraded in 2016 and a second time in 2020. The boat was commissioned for the Gitana Sailing Team founded by Benjamin de Rothschild. Its first skipper was Sébastien Josse who was later replaced by Boris Herrmann. The boat's name has been changed several times. The boat does not use any fossil fuel for power. In 2019 solar panels with an output of 1.3kw were installed[3] and it also generates power using two hydro generators at the stern that can be raised and lowered as needed

im super serial!, there is no reason to treat this girl as something to be scrutinized persoally. Al Gore on the other hand should know better but has been a far bigger hypocrite afaik.

also I find journalists who presented this beautiful boat as roughing it should be [metaphorically] urinated on, for saying it has no toilet and not saying it is a swank racing yacht for billionaires

if you want a heavier boat that is fine and undersandable, [this racing thingee may pound a bit] but if you want another boat because this one has no toilet I will poop on you

We’re going to run out of oil.

We won’t run out of solar, wind, or hydroelectric power.
