there's a train of thought that we get what we deserve. Whether it be a Christian fundamentalist saying it's the "will of god" to the other end of the belief spectrum that karma delivers boons to those who are "worthy".

Of course there are people who want to "believe" Musk gained his wealth because the universe bestowed a boon upon him.

Of course the same belief systems recognise that when mankind is wicked we must experience trials and calamity to teach us a collective lesson. Perhaps both can be correct? who knows.

My dad loves the guy and unironically watches interviews of him all the time. I’m sure he approves of Musk’s behavior here.

It’s just sad how much waste there is due to hateful nonsense.

god should have realized his mistake back when he had human v1 [cavemen] and done a major software/wetware revision, so the bulk of humans could have a reliably working bs detector and psychopath detector that would have saved much of history from trouble.

I like the "god is an alien" hypothesis where aliens made us and then watch to see if we can figure things out.
