Heh, you hit the nail on the head.

I'm open to the possibility that there may be something after death, but I wouldn't call it life.

Voted Skeptic.

To date, there is no credible scientific evidence that I'm aware of that supports the idea of life after death. Therefore I have no reason to behave as if it exists.

However, I am open to the idea that future discoveries may change this position. I don't think it likely... but it could happen.

This is one rational option. We perceive four dimensions, one of time and three of space. If a fifth dimension is possible (theories predict as many as eleven) then we exist in all five dimensions. Our fifth dimensional existence means that there is an extension of ourselves sideways (presuming front and back are directions in time) in the fifth dimension. Our consciousness moves (or is sensed as moving) in time from past to future. Our consciousness is a dot that moves on that time line. If our body ceases to exist in this particular time line perhaps our consciousness moves to another time line running alongside this one in the fifth dimension. I do not state this as a belief, merely as a possibility.

Some of you might be suprised to find what the Bible says about life after death.

" A live dog is better than a dead lion, for there is no devising, nore knowledge, nore wisdom in sheol, the place you are going to"
"For dust you are, and dust you will return"

So there you go, no such thing as life after death.

Where the notion of life after death actually comes from is when the Devil was tempting Adam and Eve to eat the fruit from the tree, God had told Adam that he would die, the Devil told Adam that he would not die but be like God.
Physical detah obviously happened, but Satan tries to keep his lie going through the falicy of living on after your physical body has died.

No matter what nobody will be disappointed in death because you would not be aware of a disappointment.

Is there death after life-after-death? Seems only fair.

Once you invoke magical rules, there are no rules.

How can we possible determine an answer, either positive or negative. I reject the question as being meaningless.

Then where is the option for the non-believers? I am not a sceptic because that involves a bit of doubts, I am an atheist who feels rather sure of his statement that there is nothing supernatural. I have no option I can really vote for here in this poll.

For practical purposes, Skeptic = Atheist.

It's hope, but not belief for me. There's no telling what will happen. On one hand, the things that have been measured to be your thoughts and nerve centres cease to exist the moment your brain ceases to function. On the other hand, the human mind is one-of-a-kind, probably the most complex thing for us in the universe. I'll just stick to my weak agnostic opinion - I'll be hoping for a pleasant surprise when I'm about to die, but I won't expect anything.

There is no exact way of knowing (unless you believe in ghosts) but probably not.
Animism seems more likely than life after death.

Belief in immortality also promotes procrastination.

We have only a limited time. Make the best use of it you can.

Why is that, person that probably won't answer me? It might led to people living greater lives, not fearing the unknown. I bet mental health would improve a great deal.

Maybe a cure for many people on the spectrum?

There is no way to know.

However, probably not.
