I just heard about a website called Godtube.

IMO the site is a bad idea for everyone, Christian or not. What do you think?

For christian people, it depends on the denomination I guess, probably people with different beliefs would think of it as a bad idea, perhaps, people who are with the same belief system would think of it as a good idea:
Quote:
Go and make disciples of the nations.

Pastors and churches can stream their message LIVE all over the world!

For not believers, of course some of the things that would been said there would be pure crap, but, it is a bad idea? it depends, as long as it is not hateful and extremist, it would be ok I guess. After all, the freedom of speech, and freedom of religion, they have the right, even if some of the things they say is crap. ;)

Curiously, never said: if a woman looked on a man to lust after him, she has commited adultery in her heart.....

well, my point here is that if sites like pornotube are well allowed to be, because being legal and the freedom of speech, like any other site of any especific theme or ideology, then I don't see why Godtube shouldn't be.

I liked Kirk Cameron on Growing Pains.

The creation of this website pretty much shows that Christianity cannot withstand the scrutiny or criticism leveled at it by freethinkers and atheists on Youtube.

religion can't stand scrutiny because if you attempt to hold any kind of standards of testing with religion...it falls apart and you see that the invisible deities are just non-existent.

Is pornotube a good idea?

No because lust = adultery + coveting and it therefore a sin according to the Ten Commandments.

This is also expounded by Jesus:

Matthew 5:27-28 KJV
[27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
[28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

I'm against this godtube idea too, but for different reasons obviously. if something does not conform to your religion's standards, this is not sufficient reason to take them down. America is supposed to be a ---free--- country, if it offends you then don't watch it. But the rest of secular society should not have to cow toe to a religion they do not believe in.
