i already came to this realization on my own, through bible studies. That is why i am saying cults can't make me any more insane since i am already insane.

Cults are pretty much the same thing as the more common and well-known religions. They just have fewer followers. Not all cults are bad.
Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity all started out as cults.

I myself have been apart many religious organizations in my life [not mainstream types of Christianity]. Not sure how to answer Your question but if You would like to [private message me that would be fine with Me].

"It is better to Reign in Hell then to serve upon in heaven"

Roman, join the cult only if you are the leader.
Otherwise it could be a scam.

Sorry it probably wasn't clear. I have no knowledge of your sanity and consider it a matter for you. The point was taking responsibility the chappie concerned thought he had wasted years being told what/when/how rather than exercising his own responsibility.

1) Well, about the passage from Luke. I think it mostly reflects Jesus' time and his personal philosophy of self-abnegation. As he did not approve of the standard means of finding union with God (e.g. through marraige, as a rabbi would be expected), he believed it was through himself and that anyone could, so long as they were devoted. He and his disciples were very much the outsiders. I'm not too sure about the passage from Matthew.

2) But I do know of certain odd Christian cults who specifically target wealthy young people who are then never seen by their friends and families again, and who live the rest of their lives as stoic, emotionally vacant recluses who quote bible verses and shun all contact from the outside world. One such man who was questioned claimed it was due to what Jesus taught, yet another theologan countered that with the Ten Commandments, specifically the part about honoring one's parents.

I agree with Duncvis. Don't do it. Cults take religious beliefs to the extremes and distort them greatly so no one knows what's going on anymore. It is a very dangerous path to take, Roman. :|

Although Christianity is pretty much the same in that way. -Exactly- the same in that way, M.A.F.

Don't do it. Religions and cults are the same thing anyway, so you are still likely to be unsatisfied. Think for yourself and don't be a follower.

Yeah, that's why my parish demands monthly payments for membership, attendance, sacraments, excommunicates me if I do any sort of research outside my faith, make statements not approved by them, or do anything even remotely connected to the secular world. And that's why they all target wealthy people to donate their money to them, and never bother with helpful humanitarian projects. And why they hoard wealth, surpress damaging secrets, and send their goons after those people who learn the truth!

Wait a minute, no they don't.

EXACTLY, you said it.

Thats why I want a cult because I am tired of the most popular cult so I want to have some less popular for a change.
