I find it to be very unlikely - not in this media age... you might have such people as prime minister in those "governments of experts" and technocrats they're so fond of but as usually these are staffed to loot countries dry I say that ASD people would not make themselves a party to such a swindle.

Never. In an age of television and instant communication you have to be extremely extroverted and respond very rapidly to social cues to be a successful political; neither of these are Aspie traits. Maybe in the 19th or earlier 20th Century it would have been possible (though unlikely even then; the closest match would be Calvin Coolidge, who only became president because Harding died). Like many other fields, politics is becoming 'more NT'.

I take any damnation of gambling very seriously. Besides the fact that I am a libertarian, and ANY limit on one's personal activities is beyond offensive, it actually affects me directly. I play poker for a living and because of two things, the full-of-themselves puritanical jerks and the casino lobbyists, my job is made much harder. There are lots and lots of Americans that want to gamble for fun but don't want to go to a casino, because of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, it is a major hassle to deposit, and as such, the competition is much tougher.

So the next time you want to come with that weak judgmental holier-than-though absurdity, understand that you're directly taking money out of my pocket. So I don't like you.

As a professional poker player, I assume you realize the difference between "gambling" and "playing poker".

Oh, absolutely. If you have a negative expectation, you are gambling, if you have a positive expectation, you're more like an investor. Even so, gambling for most people is entertainment and should be there right to do so without Federal restrictions. The laughable part is that, while they make most forms of online gambling inconvenient, they allow for lotteries and horse racing to be excluded from such restrictions. It really shows their true colors. It's not about gambling, it's about gambling that doesn't produce taxes (or campaign donors). It absolutely sickens me. I could be making twice as much as I currently do if the American donkeys could deposit with ease.
