I almost blew a gasket when I saw the news. To me, it just sounds like it'll create hyperinflation. I'm sick of people who SAVE being punished. Even more, I'm sick of the Federal Reserve.

That's what happens in a supply-side economics society... the US has the lowest level of saving per capita of any developed country on the planet. People are encouraged to spend, spend, spend, because it's impossible to think that s**t might hit the fan...

i'm pretty sure i blew a gasket a few years ago with money. credit has to be based off of debt accrued and payed off but nothing to do with people who don't use credit and actually save money and pay off everything because they actually save to afford things.

still don't have a credit card. still save and live within my means.

Well, right now we are experiencing some level of deflation, and this is most likely an attempt to counter that trend as a deflationary spiral can get real ugly, real fast.
