But Russia has, at least in German speaking countries, a reputation of being chaotic, not running by rules. Not really an Aspie trail.

Unlikely: Because Aspies are also individualist.

Well, there is an abhorrence for autism. Maybe he is picking up these signals and just not able to assimilate them more realistically. Eugenics has been around for a long time. It's instinctive to human nature.

I don't like to make fun of mental illness. I'd rather try to interpret delusions and analyze the paranoia and not make anyone feel bad about going through a crazy spell.

It appears this guy has had some rough experiences as an AS and want's to compensate by running away to some place where everybody is sympathetic. I am, I suppose, marginally AS since my only outstanding characteristics are a problem with associating with groups and some lack of basic abilities which is compensated by larger capabilities in others. But my experiences at this site indicate no sense that AS people are cohesive enough to radically disassociate themselves from humanity in general. Almost nobody here seems to want to isolate him/herself from humanity in general and forge a new type of civilization. So the effort seems to be futile.

Well, take any individual and have that person form a nation under his/her ideals and of course utopia can be achieved. That is just not realistic. We live in a diverse world and it's more logical to just try to be tolerant of our differences. If you live in a place that is negative, you should move to a place where you can be accepted unless you are willing to be very likable so that people accept your differences. Being likable means loving your neighbor, not despising their shortcomings or differences. I would like it if we could all operate according to the honor system but there are those who don't feel any remorse for hurting others or who take advantage of a system for personal gain. Rules are made for dumb people and robots.

I have always had a great fondness for rules...I guess I will opt for robot.

Yes, and visit typical Aspergian apartment. Is it orderly?

Thing is, Aspergian Nation would NEED to be centralised and have clear goals and directions, otherwise it will not accomplish anything.

It is more likely that an Aspie-nation would end up like the Holy Roman Empire with a constitution so complex and detailed that experts were struggling to understand it. Like an Aspie's flat: Highly organized chaos.

Compare the rules set up for the Imperial Chamber Court of 1555 with the rule set for Court of the Star Chamber in England - and you will understand.

Even the liberal and freedom-loving society able to image needs rules to function.

Rules are fun when it comes to playing games. But, it would be nice if people had more common sense and didn't need to be told not to throw garbage all over the place or drive like evil kneival. It is possible for some humans to live harmoniously without having to pay to govern ourselves and then pay to get fined for every little deviation from an arbitrary rule that doesn't serve to protect anyone.

I think Austria is the most Aspergian country. It's an intellectual, peaceful country but not particularly sophisticated. Hans Asperger and Leo Kanner were both Austrians. A suspected Asperger's syndrome guy called Mozart was as well as well as another suspected Asperger's syndrome Wittgenstein.

Somewhere where life revolves less around sports and playing outside and more around computers. Some ideas:
-Japan
-Taiwan
-Canada

Finland is the most computer-dense country (with Sweden a close second). Something to consider.

Actually I was one of the first of the small group to purchase a small personal computer here in Finland. It was an Apple II and I got it in 1978 for my quadriplegic son who used a mouth stick to punch the keys since he couldn't use his hands. I removed the keyboard (which was an integral part of the machine) and set it up in a rack for his convenience. It made a whole new life for him - especially when he got on the web. Maybe that's why I feel so much at home here.

Are you saying that Austria's main contributions are AS, sachartorte und schnitzel?

Yeah, sort of.

Austrians are introverted in their culture unlike the French, not quite as brash as the Germans but more friendly and genuine. They also have a high tendency for being extremists and people - think people like Arnold Shwarzenegger, the now dead Haider, Hitler, Josef Fritzl and so forth. They seem a little emotionally unhinged.
