Ouch, dude. Your style of proselytizing doesn't help the rest of us, who try to establish a meaningful relationship, then bring up religion when the time is right. Slow down, stop yelling, and try to be intelligent when discussing religion.

Well said. While I pounce on proselytizers and wave the atheist flag I'm actually a spiritual person, albeit in an unconventional way. Like many here I just don't take assertions by others without some sort of supporting evidence.

Personally the word "belief" raises my hackles. Spirituality is something sought by the individual and is much deeper and "hands on" in an investigative way rather than simply accepting as fact some set of rules and stories asserted by others or so called religious books.

You should check out the Christian Apologists' Research Ministry's forum. There're threads like that all the time.

I haven't stopped my quest to understand my own faith and that put forth by the church I go to. A lack of self-knowledge never helped anyone. Furthermore, I am studying various philosophies to see if there is a better way to understand God. Basic Christian theology hasn't changed in two millenia, but Kierkegaard's take on existentialism seemed much more logical than the standard rhetoric that everything is "part of God's Plan."

Henriksson, I don't bother to visit websites that consist of yelling, no matter what their point is. What purpose could it serve? And I doubt I could affect a change it that website's policy and attitude any more than I think I could change the religion and politics of this board.

one of the main reasons i can not trust in jesus is because he never carried any ID.
how did anyone know he was who he said he was without proper ID.

all they said that he did was not based on certainty that it was him that did it.

like that "loaves and fishes" story. how do they know it was jesus who performed the miracle and not some nobody in the crowd? did he wiggle his nose (like in bewitched)? is that how they knew that he created the miracle?

i do not recognize anything i do as a sin.
in my mind there is nothing to confess. does jesus only like people who have some sin to confess?
what if someone is blind to how they sin? is it still a sin?

i do not know.
i do not care really either because the universe will last eternally after the end of our solar system, and any misdemeanor i committed will all be just particles that are available to create another reality.

no matter what i do, i can not alter the course of the universe, and so there is no need to be sorry for anything.
