there is a reason there are few Rebublicans in Congress at this time, its because America is tired of their s**t!
America had 8 years of GOP and decided that they had enough and voted the majority out. And as it stands, more are likely to be voted out, why? A couple reasons
1. Knock Obama's plans yet offer no viable alternative
2. Social stances, today's youth are pro gay, and unless GOP yields on that, they will remain a minority party for a while
3. Bush W. America had 8 years of him, and 4 years of a GOP controlled Congress, we said, screw that and voted in the Dems.
4. Debt, the right claims to be fiscally conservative but Bush turned a $2 million surplus into $9 trillion debt and Reagan doubled the national debt.

Oh and Sand, the military-industrial complex has evolved tooooooo......militaro-politico-industrial complex! :p (which is what i call it nowadays <.< ). Oh how Eisenhower was right ~.~ .
