Are Christians responsible for the hatred of Jews today?
Catholics are heretics.Second just because someone is Jew that does mean mean that he can't be saved or be Baptized. Also let's take for example Sodom and Gomorrah(i think i did not mistake the cities)where God would not punish them if there were only 10 Just people. Also some things is not racism, like Pharisees. There were good Pharisees too.But the thing with Pharisees is that they were a close culture, that's why the majority were like that, because of being close and sharing opinions.Like when Turks are being considered barbaric. There are good too, even Saints, but because the majority is close and a culture are like that.
I'm not antisemitic nor paranoid. I just criticise Jewish culture for the same reasons most people criticise the Nazis : a strong sense of hostility towards outsiders and a tendency to harm outsiders because of it. There's nothing antisemitic or paranoid about that. Jewish xenophobia towards gentiles is well-documented throughout history just like the gentile response of antisemitism.
When was the last time Jews had a pogrom against Christians?

Two thousand years ago, actually. Suetonius wrote of how the Jewish quarter in the city of Rome, the Jews there had discovered that worshipers of Chrestos were living among them, and so went batshit crazy trying to kill them. Claudius, who had just become emperor, evicted the whole lot of them - Jews and Christians - from the city.

2000 years! Christian action against Jews is a lot more recent and a lot more frequent.
Jews have been victims of Christian bigotry and hatred for a long time. To this day the mythic Blood Libel is brought against Jews. This was invented by Christians.

Absolutely, but that doesn't mean that every Christian alive today is responsible, or even guilty, of such things.

That is true. But one should ask what is it in Christian doctrine that promotes the hatred of Jews even by some Christians. Why were Jews expelled from England (for example) for several centuries and not re-admitted until the time of Oliver Cromwell? Why were Jews driven from Spain and why were Jews who practiced their religion in secret persecuted in Spain. Apparently these Jews did not expect the Spanish Inquisition.
Why did Martin Luther curse the Jews and wish death and damnation upon them with his dying breath?

I look very gentile and grew up in a community of 60,000 people that was 95% white protestant and the rest were catholic, either white, philipino or Mexican, and some Mormons, Korean methodists, and so on.
There were maybe two or three black families and no synagogue. If there was a jewish community, my family didn't know about it, and we only knew one other jewish family, who were secular but still more ethnic than mine was.
My city did however have a small community of neo nazi skinheads. One of them lived around the block from me and occasionally he'd be lifting weights in his garage which had a wall sized nazi flag with a swaztika on it hanging on the back wall. I walked by his house frequently while he was in there and never had any problems.
However, one day I was out with my sister, who looks very ethnic as she has many traits which are found with more prevalence in Ashkenazi populations than non-Ashkenazi populations and as we were out minding our own business, one of these neo nazi skinheads happened to encounter us, and upon seeing her, decided to yell a very anti-semitic slur.
I've seen people turn cold to my mother, who's of partial Ashkenazi heritage, learn of her jewish ancestry, and I used to work with a girl who was clearly anti-semitic (seemed to have no idea I was the object of her hatred),who would make anti-semitic comments to other co-workers, who were all christian and seemed to have no issue with her ideologies or comments.
My cousins, who lived the next city over, and who are very ethnic looking and traditionally jewish, had to move because their house was vandalized with swaztikas and death threats
and my father had started a relationship with someone who apparently didn't know he was jewish, and dumped her after she made some comment eluding to "the god damn jews"
At least 50% of my jewish family members have been subjected to some form of anti-semitism at some point in their life.
This is no different than the phenomena of African Americans thinking racism is still a problem and caucasians thinking it isn't. Most caucasians don't think racism is a problem because they have never had racism directed at them and caucasians usually don't reveal to fellow caucasians any racists sentiments they might have, especially in primarily white communites where the subject of race rarely comes up.
As more African Americans started moving into my community, incidents of racism became more prevalent. One African American man told me he had only been in the city three days and someone already had spontaneously called him a n!gger and told him to go back to Africa.
If you are not the object of it, you probably won't see it.
You have contradicted yourself three times in three lines. You are batting 1.000.

Why?
Jews are a minority. Minorities always get singled out.
Jews rejected Christ at a time when religiosity was raised to the height of fanaticism.
In the Middle Ages, when they had been pressed by law into money lending professions, they were despised all the more.
Luther in fact was originally friendly to Jews, but due to surviving catastrophic illnesses toward the end of his life left him very probably with organic brain damage - after which, he stared lashing out at everyone with violent rhetoric - not just Jews, though that's what's remembered today.
And dare I say, the Jews themselves, believing they had to live as a separate population, were resented by others for their self perception of otherness.

I think it should not be overlooked though that some more closed jewish communities may overstep certain boundaries and due process on some issues, which can also breed resentment. For example, there was an issue with bike lanes in Crown Heights, where some members of the community may have taken it upon themselves to remove them, and then there is another hasidic community in England which is not very friendly towards outsiders. A community in New Jersey I believe it was decided to build a walkway along the highway because many of their inhabitants would walk along the highway to attend gathers shabbot gatherings and they were attempting to make it safer, however in building this walkway they did not get the proper permission from the city....in fact they never even requested to permission to build it and many people did not see why they should not have to abide by the laws of the land like everyone else. And then in Israel a group of Haredi jews are demanding women ride in the backs of public buses so their men will not have to look at them. This has upset most of the population of Israel, which is composed primarily of "traditional" secular jews, not haredi jews.
So indeed there are things some jewish communities do that others find abrasive, or rude, but people should keep in mind they do not represent jews as a whole, or even hasidic jews as a whole.
The hasidic jews in my community where I live now have always been rather friendly, law abiding, and accepting of the diversity around them.
And dare I say, the Jews themselves, believing they had to live as a separate population, were resented by others for their self perception of otherness.

Luther started turning on Jews when they would not accept his urging to convert. Then he started to get very nasty. The same thing happened with Mohammed. When Jews scorned Mohammed's claim to prophecy he began to get very hostile.
Since Jews have their own religious code to uphold they have no particular reason to become all that friendly and involved with gentiles. The business of Judaism is keeping the commandments and looking out for the welfare of fellow Jews.

Be that as it may, Luther's ugly language against Judaism really began in later life, after, as I had stated already, he had gone through severe illness, after which is thinking and behavior was very erratic. A very good book to read up on this is Baiton's Luther: A Biography.

How is it that Luther's vile spew appealed to so many other, younger and healthier Christians?

Actually, it didn't for the most part, as his friends and colleges made an effort to suppress this aspect of Luther's writings, as they knew he was no longer in his right frame of mind. His Antisemitic writings were largely (but not entirely) forgotten until the twentieth century, when the Nazis had rediscovered them, and incorporated them into their political philosophy and propaganda. There was already Antisemitism in German society, even without Luther's urging from the grave. But the rediscovery of this aspect of us Lutheran's past may explain why Nazism was able to make the jump from Catholic Bavaria to the Protestant north.
