Yay cissexism!
Oh, ignore me. I just feel duty bound to point out that using "sexes" when you mean "genders" implies they are the same thing, rather like an NT saying "ret*ds" when they mean "autistic people". T'is offensive and ignorant.
If you're talking about physical bodies, it's sexes.
If you're talking about female or male minds, it's genders. Before anyone lectures me on being pedantic, think about what you'd say to an "aspies are ret*ds" NT.
How about
transgendered people, those who feel as if they are "born in the wrong body"? Is a man still a man even
after having sex reassignment surgery to become a woman (and vice versa)?
First off, that is transsexual, not transgendered.
Second, if someone wishes to be seen as a woman, they are not a man and it is transphobic to call them such.
Third, the entire reason I make the distinction is because of people who were born with clashing sex and gender.
I would rather not discuss this further, as it triggers my anxiety, so I will just say that transsexualism is caused by a birth defect that forms the wrong body around the transperson's brain, and it is medically recognised as a birth defect and treated as such.
If anyone feels like arguing, they can do it with the medical and psychological professions in every country that has decent healthcare.
feeling of being in the wrong body) refers to someone who is transgendered. The second part of my statement (
a person has had sex reassignment surgery and hormone therapy) makes the switch from talking about transgender to talking about transsexual. I should've made the transition to transsexuality more clear. My bad.
