I'd become a warlord by rounding up likeminded individuals, dividing and conquering

Hell no. In every case in the USA where civil services have failed due to disaster there was uncontrolled loopting, rape, pillage and murder.

Someone needs to stop as*holes from serving their own interests at the expense of others.
